A warm welcome to our most recent maker, who will also be stewarding today - Rose of @roseeacock ceramics 🙌🏼

We know you’ll love both the functional elements and the beautiful designs as much as we do!

Here is some of her work, and more images from some of our other makers - lots of inspiration for gifts and treats…

What a weekend!

Started on Friday with a trip out to @themakers_craftsrenaissance to drop some stock and have a quick induction before my stewarding debut next week. Great to chat with the very talented @cphheneghan. If you've never been it's definitely worth a visit. There are some gorgeous pieces from some very talented makers.

Saturday was the last @haymarketsltd of the year and what a way to end the season. The sun shone, the vibes were incredible and @fungitownhay made it a really special one.

A trip to Hay wouldn't be complete without a visit to @amlen_hay one of the most beautifully curated shops run by the best people. Oh and they stock my ceramics too!

Time for a sit down before heading to @cupceramics tomorrow for some community outreach teaching and a coffee from the best little cafe in town. by @roseeacock

Some lovely stuff out of the kiln tonight ready for @haymarketsltd this Saturday and a restock @amlen_hay.

I'm in the Butter Market from 10-4 with loads of lovely makers, should be a good one. I'll have my usual range of functional ware and there may be a couple of things for those heading in for @fungitownhay 🍄🍄‍🟫👀 by @roseeacock

I love this grey clay. It's been a while since I've thrown with it and I've forgotten quite how lovely it is.
The colour changes through each part of the process only ever giving a hint of the beautiful high fired finish.

Hopefully these bowls will be ready for my next markets and some will head over to @amlen_hay, @cupceramics @themakers_craftsrenaissance by @roseeacock

It's not all playing in mud and glazing pots.

The unseen side of ceramics is a lot of kiln and studio maintenance and a whole heap of cleaning.

It's a necessary evil but like any job, feels better in the sunshine.

Our new batch of Teen Throwers are off to a flying start.

This course gives young people who aren't quite old enough to take part in our regular courses the opportunity to have a go at throwing pots on the wheel.

These 4 week courses give an introduction to centering and throwing. The rate at which the participants learn and develop always amazes me.

Our next Teen Throwing Course starts in September and places are already being booked. If you know a young person who has always wanted to have a go book your place via our website www.cupceramics.com/courses taken in CUP Ceramics Community by @roseeacock
