Rose’s Origin Story: What started as a young girls’ dream car, became reality when a retired (classic) auto-mechanic made his daughters dreams come true by buying a rusty, non functioning Volkswagen Westfalia.
The man, the myth, the legend of Frank Martino made it his passion project for years to restore the 1971 camper van to it’s (damn-near) mint condition as a college graduation present for his daughter 🥹
The project turned into hundreds of mini projects, most of all completed in dad’s at-home body shop, which moved from West Tennessee to East Tennessee, and finally Florida where the mechanic work was finished.
Rose survived 3 hurricane seasons before finally making her way to back to Tennessee, where she was handing off to @alwayscoolannaa & @joeleasy615 ❤️
Every single mechanical aspect of the van was inspected, tinkered with, and replaced as needed by my dad, and now it’s our turn to spruce up the inside… but mostly to give Rose the life of adventures she deserves 🙌🏻 #vanlife #volkwagenwestfalia #vanrestoration by @roseontheroad71
