Almost two years ago, I married my best friend in the Smoky Mountains with the most beautiful bouquet in my hands. 💐

After our elopement, I couldn’t imagine letting those flowers fade away, so I pressed them myself. Today, that bouquet hangs in our home as a reminder of one of the happiest days of our lives.

That one bouquet is what inspired Rosepress Studio.

Now I have the privilege of creating custom pressed flower art and wedding bouquet preservation pieces for my clients, helping them turn flowers from weddings, memorials, anniversaries, graduations, and other meaningful moments into keepsakes they’ll treasure for years.

Every bouquet tells a story, and I’m so grateful that I get to preserve those stories every day.

If you have flowers from a special occasion that you’d love to keep forever, I’d be honored to preserve them for you.

✨ Send me a DM or fill out an inquiry through the link in my bio to reserve your bouquet preservation spot!

Kate’s bouquet deserved a really beautiful frame. 🤍

I’m especially excited about this one—not only because these calla lilies are gorgeous, but because Kate is someone I personally know and getting to preserve such a meaningful part of her wedding day feels extra special.

And… round frames are officially here! ✨

This is my new 11x14 gold round, shown with an off-white backing. I’ll also be offering 16x20 round frames in all of my available frame colors, so you can choose the combination that feels most like you.

The little details make all the difference 💙🌸

Certain flowers need to be carefully color-corrected and reassembled by hand to preserve as much of its original beauty as possible. It’s all part of the many steps in the process of pressing flowers.

Did you know that pressing extra petals for certain flowers is pretty important?

Some flowers need to be “thinned out” in order to press so that they don’t mold or turn brown. In this case, this flower I pressed was already thinned, however I pressed individual petals as well in order to fill it out again once it was dried.

So much love and care goes into pressing these meaningful blooms, many people don’t see the behind the scenes process. This is what I love about floral preservation. Every flower has its own way of being pressed, just like every plant has a unique set of circumstances that need to be just right in order to even come out of the soil when it first sprouts.

If you’re looking to have your wedding bouquet, special occasion, or memorial flowers preserved, I’d love to help! Reach out but sending me a DM, or filling out an inquiry form that’s in my bio. 🌻

Brylee’s cascading bouquet was full of movement, texture, and gorgeous blooms, so my goal was to make sure those details didn’t get lost in the pressing process.

From the original cascading shape to each individual bloom, I carefully deconstructed and pressed the flowers before reworking them into this 18x20 dark oak frame.

Swipe to see where we started. 🌿

Did you know that deconstructing certain flowers is a crucial part of the floral preservation process?

Not every bloom can simply be placed into a flower press and left alone. Some flowers are naturally thicker and hold more moisture, which means they need to be carefully deconstructed before pressing to prevent trapped moisture and mold.

And the work doesn’t stop there. Each press needs to be checked throughout the drying process, with papers changed as needed to remove excess moisture.

Floral preservation is a slow, hands-on process, and every bouquet requires a little something different.

From natural oak + light wood frames to dark oak, black, white, gold, and oval frames, your pressed wedding flowers can be designed to fit your home and your bouquet.

This was one of those flowers where I had to stop and figure out the best way to approach it. The shape, funny texture, and tiny individual star florets make it a little trickier than your typical flower.

So here’s a peek at my process—from breaking it down into manageable pieces and making sure those little details have the support they need while pressing.

I told my husband last night that sometimes I feel like I’m back in biology class in high school while dissecting these florals. 👩‍🔬

Follow along for how I reconstruct this flower once it’s all dried!
