You’ve met the co-hosts… now meet some of the incredible women joining us in Sicily this October! 🇮🇹❤️

This video call gives you a pretty good idea of what this girls trip is going to be like! 😂 There was already so much laughter, talk about food, wine, carbs, adventure and, most of all, connection.

Because yes, we’re travelling to Sicily with @seableholidays on an accessible travel experience, but this is also very much a girls trip. A chance to explore somewhere new together, stay up talking way too late, eat all the Italian food, laugh until our stomachs hurt and make some pretty incredible memories along the way.

We’re coming together from different places, with different stories and different connections to the blind and low vision community. It’s really special to travel with people who understand so much of the journey without always needing an explanation.

And soon, these little squares on a screen are going to become real hugs, conversations over Italian food, white canes exploring Sicily together and probably a whole lot more laughing!

This is what accessible travel can look like. Not simply getting from one place to another, but having the opportunity to experience the culture, the food, the adventure and the friendships along the way.

Sicily, we’re getting closer. 🇮🇹

Ciao for now! ❤️

THIS PIECE IS ACCEPTED AND VALIDATED FOR THE METROEXPO IN FLORENCE, ITALYY🇮🇹!!
When Technology Touches Humanity explores the rapidly changing relationship between human experience, technology, and artificial intelligence. The fluid, unpredictable movement of alcohol ink reflects human emotion, intuition, and creativity, while contrasting forms suggest the precision and acceleration of technology. The work invites us to consider how technology is transforming the way we communicate, create, and connect—and asks a timely question: as technology becomes increasingly woven into our lives, how do we preserve what makes us uniquely human?

BIRCHES IN THE SUMMER & BIRCHES IN THE FALL:
We regularly walk through this dense, vibrant trail near our home, where the deep green foliage contrasts beautifully with the stark white birches. It is a stunning display - one that perfectly mimics the intense colors and fluid designs of alcohol inks.

Acrylic canvas 10x112x11/2”
2014
I was just a little girl when I last saw the sky filled with twinkling stars. At the time, my parents could never have known that I would one day be diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa, as part of my journey with Usher syndrome.
My dad shared his love of astronomy with me. On warm summer nights, we would lie together on the grass, looking upward as he pointed out the stars and named the constellations. I remember gazing into that vast, beautiful cosmic sky with a child’s sense of wonder, never imagining that one day I would no longer be able to see it.
Now, in 2026, the stars are no longer visible to me. What was once something I could look up and experience has become a cherished memory—a memory of my dad, those quiet summer nights, and the wonder of looking into a sky filled with light.
This painting is a reflection of that memory: a father and daughter standing beneath a sky she can no longer see, but will always remember. #MemoryArt #AbstractArt #BlindArtist #rosekammamorrison #ArtLifting by @rosetkmo

I am experimenting with gold leaf in a Klimt inspired style, not sure if I will continue with this backdrop. But I already have a name for this, “Woman in the Gallery”
For artists out there, should I use the goldleaf on a wood panel or canvas. I want to know what you think?

IT IS FINALLY DONE!! This triptych took me a long time to prepare and paint. If anything, this painting has taught me to be patient.
WAITING FOR BLUE:
a contemporary abstract landscape created through an intuitive process of taping flowing lines across three panels. Rather than beginning with a predetermined composition, I allowed each line to emerge instinctively, creating the movement of clouds, water, shoreline and shifting weather.

As an artist with low vision, I use tools to help me see my process: here is an example using my @apple iPhone 14 pro to scan my work, can you see it? As the paint is drying, it makes it even more difficult to see, I spot a few spots I need to repaint😁
