Some sunsets leave a light that lingers long after the sun has disappeared.

A fig tree rises from the ruins of the ancient city of Aphrodisias, growing where people once walked thousands of years ago.

If you look closely at its roots you can see stones from the ancient ruins have become trapped within them, as if the tree has slowly woven the old city into itself.

Civilisations disappear. Stones crumble. But Nature finds a way to grow through what we leave behind.

This old tree has spent more than a century waiting for the next traveller to stop, rest in its shade, and continue their journey. Today, that traveller was me. 🌳

Fear is temporary. Regret lasts.

A long time ago, someone said to me, "It's better to regret the things you have done than the things you didn't do."

Looking back on those words, I realise how much they have moulded me as a person. They gave me the courage to be the unorthodox person I am today, to have the guts to go out there and simply do things.

Not every decision has been the right one, but every experience has made my life richer.

A little curiosity: these palms are native to northwestern Mexico, not Türkiye, but they have become extremely popular throughout the Mediterranean because they tolerate heat, drought, and poor soils very well. They are common in places such as Hierapolis, the Aegean coast, southern Spain, Italy, and Greece. taken in Hierapolis-Pamukkale, Unesco World Heritage by @rosevidovix

Tarsus Waterfall is beautiful, but it also hides a fascinating story beneath its waters.

Before the waterfall was created, this area was used as a cemetery. During engineering works that altered the course of the Berdan River, many ancient tombs were submerged beneath the water. Today, visitors admire the rushing cascade without realizing that part of Tarsus's history lies below the surface.

What makes this place even more remarkable are the trees growing directly from the water's edge, their roots constantly surrounded by the powerful current. The combination of ancient history, thriving nature, and the force of the river creates an atmosphere that is both peaceful and dramatic.

A place where water, trees, and centuries of history meet.

The footpath was long and rough, and the climb was difficult.
Stone after stone, we climbed for hours, the path almost vertical in places.
The flowers added quiet bursts of colour along the way, some so delicate they looked as if made of paper.
The trees were extraordinary, ancient and unlike anything I had ever seen.
They were twisted into shapes that felt almost mythical.
Yet everything felt so alive.
And when we reached the top of Mount Roraima, every hardship dissolved into something unforgettable. taken in Monte Roraima, Venezuela by @rosevidovix
