Slowly getting a hang of this new milk pitcher. Milk was a little over aerated today, probably should have poured a tulip or a Rosetta instead. But in the spirit of sticking to the same art, here we are.

Also had a huge revelation today about slowsetta and slow leaf. I used to think they meant the same. But they are not. Do you know the difference? taken in Toronto, Ontario by @roshisbrewing

Day 16: This bigger pitcher is going to take some getting used to. I tried a push base as @dr.iggydeleon suggested, but didn’t get it right this time. I pushed, but did not pull back right away. Also, I think I started the cup tilt early. Well, at least I am self aware. lol.

We try again tomorrow 🫡🤎

Happy Friday, folks! We made it. 🫶🏼🍁

Tried a new 600ml pitcher today and what a huge improvement. Thanks for this suggestion @dr.iggydeleon

I still need to get used to the pitcher and the flow using this one. But I can clearly see the difference this would make.

Always steam in a smaller pitcher, and then transfer to a bigger pitcher for a better pour. 🤎

Now I’m really curious to experiment with different pitcher sizes and spouts. Any brands out there want to collab with me? Hit me up 🤭 #shamelesspitching taken in Toronto, Ontario by @roshisbrewing

Day 13: I see a lot of progress with the flow control. Wings are wide spread and cup tilt has improved. Just need to get a better mill texture. This new bag is making me go real crazy. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Day 11 of improving my Slowsettas.

I might be making a mistake switching the mug, I feel like I took 5 steps back. But the popular opinion/feedback was to try a different mug and I will stick to this for a few more days and see how we progress.

Don’t mind my Swan 🦢

Mistakes:
Flow rate is way too high( so much for practicing my slowsettas, tsk tsk 🤦🏽‍♀️)
Changed the mug and forgot how to tilt.
Milk steaming isn’t perfect for a swan. Might have worked better for a slowsetta.

Do you think slowsetta needs a thinner micro foam than swan?

Coming back to Day 10 and it almost felt like I forgot how to pour, after a few days of missing my latte art practice. I kinda like this one though. Not perfectly clean lines. But it’s pretty and good progress.

Day 9 & those wings are NOT spreading and I’m trying not to let it get to me 🤭 but, this milk texture is actually really good now, like I finally get what consistency I need for the flow to work. So that’s a genuine win even if my brain wants to skip straight to ‘perfect slowsetta.’ Flow control’s getting better too, slowly. And I think I’m actually slowing down while pouring, which is huge for me lol.

It’s wild how hard it is to notice your own progress sometimes, you just feel behind. But small wins are still wins, even with my ADHD brain trying to convince me otherwise 🤍

If anyone’s cracked the wing-spreading code, please send help 🙏 pour height? milk texture? wrist angle? I’ll try anything at this point 😭
