Wet Bandits got to join the family this year for Halloween. @jayarea made me put the iron on my face 😂 by @rosieeats
As Chefs, we jump from one project to the next all while balancing so many jobs. Such as walking down the street with a sheet cake on a shoulder while wheeling a cart of a stacked cake. Just taking time to be like, “hey, I made that, she’s kind of pretty.” @chefsforequality #cakes #floralcakes #weddingcakes #whimsicalcake #cakedecoration by @rosieeats
Fall 26, let’s not forget the life that has been lived because in a blink of an eye, I’ve aged a thousand years. by @rosieeats
A beautiful bride and her cake. Since the beginning of knowing a @roseavebakery ube cake, Jess KNEW this it would be her wedding cake. It was a dream come true to make Jess’s dream come true. Also, always wanted to make a long cake, it was so much fun. Scroll to see her reaction 🥹. Congratulations @nstahuck and Daniel! #cake #cakes #dmvcakes #weddingcake #longcake by @rosieeats
Anyone else grew up hating these? As a kid, I couldn’t get around the fact there was a salty egg yolk in a sweet dessert. And now, I spend the entirety of September making mooncakes to prepare for mid-autumn festival at the bakery. A labor of love, but I’m back to where it all started, the salty duck yolk. Rose Ave always brings me back to my roots. by @rosieeats
It’s been 6 years since we were last featured in the @washingtonpost Weekend section. The first time, we had just opened, during the pandemic, and among a small group of bakeries trying to make it through an incredibly uncertain time. And now, 6 years later, to be included among DC’s 40 Essential Eats, ft the iconic passion fruit doughnut, feels special. It reminds us that we are still here because of the love and support of our community. ❤️ From the outside, it can look like we’re always busy and successful. But what people don’t always see are the slow days, long nights, early mornings, challenges, and the immense amount of work it takes to keep a small bakery business going day after day. Throughout all the moments of self doubt, we keep showing up because we believe in our team, the work, and what we’ve built together. 6 years later, we’re still waking up at 2am, still learning, still figuring it out, and still pouring everything we have into bringing the DMV the best food and drinks we possibly can. To everyone who has supported us, celebrated with us, bought a pastry, told a friend about us, or simply walked through our doors — thank you. You are the reason we get to keep showing up. 6 years later, we’re still serving the iconic passion fruit doughnut. ❤️ by @rosieeats
Soaking up the last bits of summer break with our annual beach getaway! by @rosieeats
I’ve been a lowkey fan since 2020, but how is this my first concert and how did I talk the group into last min floor seats and how did we get so dangerously close 🤯. I’m unwell. #bts #btsarmy by @rosieeats
What to order at this award winning Asian bakery in the Woodley Park neighborhood of DC! Chef @rosieeats walked us through some of her faves on the menu. They are always rolling out seasonal items and let me just say the hot dog was 🔥 @roseavebakery is a must stop for anyone in DC. #dcfoodie #dmveats #bakery #asianbakery #dmvfoodie by @rosieeats
