Early birthday present for our Will. An extraordinary didgeridoo with art works of our Yuen country by the master Noel Butler. Will’s already quite skilled at playing the didge and this wonderful instrument will definitely take him to new heights. A great evening at Terrara House with an evening of wonderful food at the Shoalhaven Food Network event hosted by Simon Marnie. Stephen Stantucci’s creations were delicious with amazing locally sourced produce. Congratulations to the crew behind Shoalhaven Food Network led by the unsinkable Di Laver… what an inspiration you are ! Nobody cares as much about the food of the Shoalhaven as Di, and she acts upon her passion, and we all have fun because of that! The kids involved in Gaining with Training did a fabulous job on the evening. On the way to have an aperitif at Samaritane, ( closed for a function…😔) and to check out the Pont Neuf. A tribute to Christo’s wrap of the bridge 40 years ago. The installation is a massive, inflatable structure designed to look like a rocky cave swallowing the bridge. ‘La Caverne du Pont Neuf’ by JR. Thanks Sue Henly for the heads up! by @rosievino

Always wonderful to dine at Septime and watch the work going on in the tiny kitchen, with an occasional scoot up the stairwell by someone for supplies! Fun to do the pairing with wines that take me out of my comfort zone beautifully! A big group of Parisienne chefs again at the chefs table today…Monday is always the day when hospos can go out themselves. Today’s meal was one of the best I’ve had…. New fresh summer menu. by @rosievino

Waiting for the train in Genova and surrounded by Alpini - who were specialised mountain infantry corps of the Italian Army, known for their distinctive hats called "Cappello Alpino" which feature a black feather (penna) who entertained us all. Interesting…😁 by @rosievino

A couple of days in the Cinque Terra is a good option. Great seafood, walks and colourful buildings and we managed to see all five towns. by @rosievino

A visit to Carpineto on our last day in Tuscany. Thank you Cate Looney for organising. Caterina and Leon were so generous with their time, and providing a delicious lunch to boot! The most sparklingly clean barrel room ever! @carpinetowines @cupittsestate by @rosievino

Wine focussed dining tonight with a Bourgogne Rully centre stage with a truffe Croque Monsieur. Female winemaker Mme Jaeger, whose husband makes Chablis ( M. Defaix’s Petit Chablis is also good). Her Premier Cru Clos de Chapitre was beautifully balanced and elegant, dare I say, a touch of femininity that I love ( of course!). Great little spot in the Marais, and there is Cave des Pyrenees across the rue for takeaway with expert advice. Love Paris❤️@cupittsestate @vinsdespyrenees by @rosievino

Had to repost as some of the fab Le Doyenné crew were missing in my earlier pic(and still not completely there!). I’m sure they’re still enjoying the day in Paris tonight!
