Last year I had the opportunity to compose the music for @pipedreamfilm - a film about @theojansen_official. It was one of the most challenging but also fun endeavors in my career. Thanks to @nikolaynyt and @zacalf for trusting me with the job and congrats to both of you on your beautiful work! I couldn’t do this without the playing and the contributions of all the musicians who participated in the project(listed below). The Film and Soundtrack will be released in the fall. Meanwhile enjoy the official trailer! Musicians: @trifon_bass @asen_doykin @boyan.guitar @fraseracampbell @elteeg @justinguitarcia @bhbass83 Recorded at @samuraihotelrecording and @mypulsestation Mastered by @swanstudiosnyc Sound design by @andrelaos taken in New York, New York by @rossendrums

We are happy to share the ‘Pipe Dream’ soundtrack, composed and produced by @rossendrums. Each track was written and recorded specifically for the film, in collaboration with a cast of talented musicians.

On Spotify, each song has a looping video accompaniment, which offers a sneak peek of the documentary. Check out the link in the @pipedreamfilm bio for the full album! taken in Scheveningen by @rossendrums

What do Theo’s Strandbeests look like from the sky? Here are a few drone clips of his 2022 Animaris Magnus Auribus (“Big Ears”) that didn’t make it into the film, along with a sneak preview from @rossendrums’ soundtrack.

@rossendrums exploring our “Brooklyn Vanguard” preset. This preset is a detailed virtual recreation of a Gretsch USA custom jazz kit. When sampling this kit, we kept all the natural overtones of the drums to preserve that bright acoustic drum sound 🥁 by @rossendrums
