So, who are Ross Guides? 👋🇪🇸

We created Ross Guides because Mallorca has too much information, but not enough honest advice.

We’ve explored the island, tried the beaches, restaurants and excursions, and talked to locals, taxi drivers, hotel workers and more — taking notes along the way. 📝

Now we use everything we’ve learned to create personalised Mallorca itineraries based on YOU.

Less research. Less stress. More Mallorca. 🌴

Don’t let tourist traps haunt your holiday!

Astronomical prices, disappointing food and a bill scarier than Halloween itself.

Mallorca has SO many amazing places to eat — you just need to know where to look!

🧡 Plan your holiday with RossGuides and avoid the traps. Eat well, spend wisely and enjoy the REAL Mallorca.

How much does shopping at a Mallorcan market actually cost?

This time we visited Sineu Market and picked up some fresh meat.

€25.90/kg
€8.29 for our portion

Prices are quite similar across many of Mallorca’s traditional markets.

And there’s so much more than food! Cheese, olives, ceramics, handmade products, local treats… you name it. by @rossguides

Chipirones fritos — little squid, lightly coated in flour and fried until golden and crispy. Squeeze some fresh lemon on top, dip them in your favourite sauce (ours is aioli) and honestly… we could eat these all day! 🦑🍋

One of our favourite tapas to order when eating out in Spain. Simple, crispy and SO delicious!

Now tell us What’s YOUR favourite tapas? We’re always looking for new things to try! 😍 by @rossguides

Room tour… but not in a hotel

Ross needed our car on the mainland, so flying wasn’t an option. And honestly? After a busy few months, 8 hours sitting in a seat just didn’t sound appealing. 😅 So he booked himself a cabin.

A proper bed, private bathroom and shower. Nothing fancy, but arriving in Valencia rested and ready to drive? Worth it.

Before you book, here’s what to know 👇

Palma → Valencia with Trasmed
Around 8 hours, sometimes longer
Seats: promo fares around €19–25
Cabins: roughly €100–150+, depending on the date
Taking your car? Check the total price before booking!

Our take? Flying is quicker, but if you need your own car on the mainland, the ferry makes sense. And honestly, on a long journey, a cabin can make all the difference.

Would you take the ferry or fly? by @rossguides

Everyone knows the usual way to get to and from Mallorca… by AIRPLANE! But have you ever considered taking the ferry?

This time, we swapped the airport for the sea and took the Trasmed ferry from Mallorca to mainland Spain

Was it a long journey? Absolutely. Was it alright? Honestly, better than we expected! 😂

And the best part? You can bring your car along, making it a handy option if you’re planning a longer trip around the peninsula.

Stay tuned for a full cabin room tour — we’ll show you what it’s really like onboard! by @rossguides

Weather update - Palma de Mallorca - 21.10.2026 ☀️

The weather was very rainy and stormy in the last couple of days but now it is clear and sunny again. If you arrive now to Mallorca, you have nothing to worry about! by @rossguides

We still need to work on our rhythm 😂 but we definitely enjoyed it!

The best way to discover Mallorca’s most beautiful beaches? Start early and make a proper beach-hopping day out of it!

The Cathedral is just unbelievably beautiful ❤️ Everytime I see it, it’s breathtaking! Still wow after so many years. by @rossguides

One of my best Mallorca trip-planning decisions? Getting help from a local! 🇪🇸

@rossguides helped fine-tune our itinerary, minimize driving time, find incredible restaurants, and even recommended a boat trip that was closer to our hotel and less expensive than the one I’d found.

And the help doesn’t stop once your itinerary is finished! Ross is available by text or phone throughout your stay to answer questions. We even texted him to ask if we’d be underdressed going straight from the beach to a restaurant. 😂 So helpful!

If Mallorca is on your travel wish list, check out @rossguides for help planning your own adventure and save this for your future Mallorca trip! ✈️
