Exactly 10 years ago today I was wrapping on my graduation short film Earth 2.0.
The cast and crew had done an incredible job, the film looked great! But I felt like I had failed so badly as a director (which I had) that it ended up being a film that gave me 10 years of insecurity and ridiculous self doubt. I didn’t stop working in films but I put some serious breaks on my own stuff. Which was stupid. This is the first time I can even post about it 🤣 (no I am not showing the film) I just want to say to all directors out there: if you fail at a short film or 2, don’t give up! keep going cause there is a lot more failing waiting for you 🤣 And who gives a fuck. by @rosshadai

I am sure you are all sick of this, so here I end (can’t promise) the shameless promotion of this incredible film that is @theceremonyukfilm and the @bafta nomination it got for Oustanding Debut. Again I want to thank and love everyone who was involved, the whole cast and crew for being on this magical ride. Thank you @jackkingfilm for wanting me by your side and writing the most amazing script (and directing AND EDITING) thank you @holsabet and @lucymeer for trusting me somehow, thanks @robbiejbryant for your talent, vision and for being one mind with us. Thank you @tudordecucu and @erdalyildiz_official our leads for putting up with me and still bringing world class performances even when you hated me, my schedule, the cold, the hail storms….
Thank you @_deliaob for jumping on this crazy ride and sleeping with a dead dummy (and me). Thank you Adrian for being just the loveliest man ever. I can’t thank everyone one by one (also who am I to thank I am just the AD 🤣 - but I feel thankful) but just know that each single person on this film has a special place in my heart. Including the goat who shat on my knee. @laurie_costume @max_elliot_lovelldop @sam_hotson @_aumeta_ @the_french_nic @anthonyjacko_ if I haven’t tagged you I can’t find you !! ❤️ and congrats to My Father’s Shadow for winning ! by @rosshadai

The Ceremony won best film at the Edinburgh film festival this summer and I am late to post about it, which have just been told is really bad.
Can’t wait to make another one with this incredibly talented bunch. #edinburghfilmfestival by @rosshadai
