There is so much to experience and life to live in this world, so I've taken it to the open road go out and get it. What will we be doing next??
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Hello, friends, it's been awhile. A lot has happened since my last post. My journey includes some exciting life changing events, which I'll provide updates on later, but as we all know, it wouldn't be life without some tough times here and there. Life has been good, really good, but our family has taken a big hit.

One year and one week ago today, our dear, sweet Ginger was called home to our heavenly Father. She put up a hell of a fight against cancer over the previous year, showing us all just how incredibly strong she was. I think it goes without saying it's been tough, as words cannot describe how much she meant to me or how much I love her. Her influence and guidance are embedded in me, and without her, I truly would not be the man I am proud to be today. I am so grateful for the gift from God that she was. In our hearts she will live for as long as we draw breath.

I could go on for days about her incredible accomplishments, how much good she did in this world, and the incredible character she was, but most of you already know that. Message me if you don't and I'll be happy to provide you with some articles by much better writers than myself.

I apologize if you're just now learning this news, it's been difficult for me to speak about, and I haven't really known how unless prompted. I felt the need to make this post to inform you, as many of you on here are wonderful friends whom for one reason or another I haven't spoken with in the last couple years. I assure you, I love you, I miss you, and I hope we can catch up soon.

We will never move on, but we MUST move forward. Forward in her honor and in her memory.

A celebration of her beautiful life will be held this October in Dallas, TX. If you'd like to attend, please reach out for details. by @rosshar

25 days ago I got the call about what was going on in L.A. Hours later we were driving our type 3 wildland apparatus from Colorado to the west coast to aid in the fight. It feels like forever ago that I left home, but finally today, I'm returning to my sweet girl's arms. by @rosshar

ANNOUNCEMENT!
For those of you who know me, it's no secret that I've always been passionate about photography. I'm so grateful for all of you who have encouraged and supported my development in this passion, and I'm thrilled to announce I'm finally doing something more with it!
I've created a gallery website where you can view some of my personal favorites I've done recently and order prints on a variety of format options. I'm calling it Rocky Mountain Hi Photography, I’ve included a link to my website below. I hope you'll take a look around, let me know what you think, and help me get the word out there!
Also, follow my new IG account @theprettiestsights for stories from behind the scenes and my newest creations.
Thanks, friends!

I made it to 40! Thank you all for your kind birthday wishes, it's always great to hear from you!

I had a wonderful celebration and beginning to life in my 40s. I went for a ride on my dirtbike, did some fly fishing, got in a pretty hike, then went down to the big city for a great night out with my sweetheart. My 30s were good, but I'm excited for what my 40s will bring! Let's GO! by @rosshar

Returned from wildland firefighting deployment in California and Breckenridge threw a wonderful welcome home party just for me! Or maybe it was for Oktoberfest, Idk, but great timing. Happy to be home! taken in Breckenridge, Colorado by @rosshar

Yanky72 seven year anniversary memorial hike. Hard to believe it's been that long when the wounds still feel so fresh. Carried the load up Mount Elbert, the highest mountain in Colorado and had the pleasure of sharing the story along the way. They will never be forgotten.

One of my favorite places to dirtbike. Relatively technical at parts, but a great trail to work on some skills. It's a much more forgiving environment than the tight trees and loose rocks we have back home in the Rockies. by @rosshar

My beautiful gf and pretty places. She's as hot as the desert sun, and cool as the spring runoff. With the landscapes I find her in, I've always got a hell of a view.

I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day, and took a few moments to honor not just those who have sacrificed everything, but also their families who have lost what feels like everything.

Yesterday, I drove 38 miles through the canyons on a dirt road up a cliff to one of the most beautiful places I could think of with a cooler of Shiner Bock beer to reflect on all I am so grateful for and have the opportunity to enjoy because of the sacrifices that were made on our behalf. Cheers to ALL of them, and cheers to our Gold Star families, we love you, and we will never forget your sacrifice!

Remembering the fallen on 9/11. Ironically, this is also the day I started fire academy two years ago, and now my first shift with Salida Fire Department. taken in Salida, Colorado by @rosshar

Being an Orvis fly-fishing guide has been one of the coolest, most rewarding jobs I've had. The scenery never gets old, and having the pleasure of meeting people, hearing their stories, and taking them out for an unforgettable experience, certainly does not feel like work, it feels like living. I cannot thank everyone at @breckenridgeoutfitters enough for all their support in teaching me not just how to be a better angler, but a professional guide among their ranks. I am so honored! On the newest big project now, but I really hope to free up and work the coolest job again with the coolest group of professional fly fishermen!
