We were just two kids from Louisiana who met in the studio in New York in 2018. What we started was unsure, but incredibly exciting. I recently got a gig as a recording engineer at @gbsjukejoint and Glen Forrest encouraged us to get in the studio once a week and see what music we could come up with.
It was and incredible experience - we got to learn how to record and make whatever we wanted with all the keyboards and guitars and mics we could ask for. In those weekly sessions we wrote the beginnings of the album that released just a week ago.

Life took many turns and we both took long breaks and worked many other projects - leaving our album on the shelf for years. But the music kept calling us back to it. We couldn’t leave a project like this unfinished. After a week long recording trip to Baton Rouge, and like a hundred weekly zoom call sessions later, we finally got the album where we wanted. It took a ton of work but it was definitely worth it.

Crazy to think what those two kids started in 2018, with no idea what we were doing - could make something so special.

Anyways, it’s an incredible release (in every sense of the word) to have this thing out there. So proud of us @imani_vonsha !! Go listen to the album!
