Year 5 was big.

Year 6 is going to be on another level.

Higher standards.
Better programming.
More accountability.
More technology.
More results.

This is the year everything gets raised.

Our College Summer Program is live.

This is our annual college summer program and it is where real jumps are made, not just talked about.

June 1 through August 7.

Everything is individualized.
Everything is structured.
You train in a competitive environment that demands more from you every single day.

Pitchers in this program averaged a 4.5 mph velocity increase.
Hitters improved bat speed, exit velocity, and overall power.

We track progress with force plates and objective data so there is no guessing.
You see what is improving and you attack what needs work.

Multiple athletes who have gone through this program earned scholarships after the summer.

That is not luck.
That is the result of consistent, intentional work done the right way.

Save $300 when you sign up before May 3.

If you want to take your game to the next level, this matters.

Just playing games is not development.
If you need to make a real jump, this is where you should be.

Congratulations to long-time #rtstrong athlete, @_kalebwing , on being selected in the 4th round by the @cubs !

Kaleb’s development over the past year has been nothing short of incredible. Since he started pitching, the transformation he’s made is a direct result of the work he put in—day in and day out.

Watching him go from 88–89 T90 at @areacodes to sitting 90–95 T96 was something special.

More to come on Kaleb’s journey, but for now—he absolutely earned this.

Couldn’t be more proud of Kaleb and so happy for him and his family.

Pallof presses and high-to-low chops aren’t enough to prepare the body to rotate fast and move efficiently.

Too often, athletes spend too much time focused on anti-rotation and anti-flexion work, and too little time developing the movements they actually need on the field.

Rotation and side bending are important pieces of throwing hard and hitting for power.

But athletes are asking their bodies to perform those movements at high speeds without spending enough time learning to control them first.

That preparation needs to start at lower speeds.

Side bends, windshield wipers and controlled rotation work give athletes opportunities to move through those positions, build control and gradually handle greater demands.

Learn the movement. Build strength through it. Then progress toward speed.

Your body goes through flexion, extension, rotation and side bending when you throw and hit, so you also need to be able to perform and control them.

If most of your trunk training revolves around Pallof presses and anti-movement exercises, it’s time to shift the emphasis.

Spend less time resisting movement and more time preparing your body to move well.

Finn started training with us right after having UCL surgery. Helping guide him through rehab and his return to throwing is a responsibility we don’t take it lightly.

Before surgery, he was mid 80s. Now, he’s up to 90 and more to come.

His path back hasn’t been a straight line. There have been ups and downs, but @finn_cormier has kept working, stayed with the process, and things are coming together.

Along the way, we’ve continued building his foundation. Moving better, getting stronger, and taking each step as he’s ready.

Excited for Finn and the work that went into this milestone. A lot more to come as we keep building.

Quinten Marsh (@qj_marsh.24) has been training with us since he was 13.

Now he's doing it at Stanford University as a two-way player.

He has spent years improving his velocity, command, and ability to pitch. Learning that being a complete pitcher takes more than just lighting up the radar gun.

Here at RT, we focus on developing athletes who know how to compete, not just throw hard.

If you're serious about taking your game to the next level, this is where it starts.

Train in the same environment as Quinten and build your game the right way.

DM us to get started.

Everyone wants to throw harder or increase their exit velocity. 📈

But I see a lot of athletes put all their effort into skill work while giving half the effort to building the engine.

The weight room is where we build strength, improve movement quality, and develop the ability to produce more force.

The skill work helps us apply it.

Both matter.

This is why a lot of guys stall out on the velocity side. They keep doing more drills and throwing more, but their physical development isn’t keeping up.

For a lot of high school athletes, building that engine needs more attention.

That doesn’t mean chasing one rep maxes. It means good, focused training. Moving well, pushing yourself, and staying consistent over time.

You can’t give 100% to your pitching or hitting and 50% to your physical preparation, then expect to make the jump you’re looking for.

Take the same pride in your training that you take in your skill work.

Build the engine. Learn how to use it. Keep building.

The game keeps getting better, and so do the athletes.

We have to keep getting better at helping our guys make the most of their off-season.

That starts with the assessment. Force plates help us take a deeper look at what each athlete needs and give us direction for their training.

It’s more than how much force they produce or how high they jump.

Those numbers give us valuable feedback, and for some athletes, improving them will be a big part of the plan. But as athletes reach higher levels, we have to look deeper into the other numbers too—braking, propulsion and more.

For @ryan.mathiesen here, simply moving through a hypertrophy block, then strength, then speed isn’t specific enough on its own.

Those pieces can all have a place. The assessment helps us figure out what deserves the most attention, how to approach it and how to track whether it’s helping.

That’s what the off-season is about. Understanding where an athlete is, what’s holding them back and building a plan that helps them take the next step.

Have questions about your off-season development? DM us.

One of the best parts of the pro offseason is watching the guys talk, share ideas and learn from each other.

A pitcher needs a new slider, so he talks to someone who throws a good one and asks about his grip and cues.

Someone has a great changeup, so another guy asks about his grip and how he throws it.

There is a lot you can learn from your peers if you pay attention.

It’s something we encourage our younger athletes to do. Watch other guys throw bullpens. Ask questions. Learn from what they do well.

Be a “student of the game!”

You never know what you might pick up that helps you take the next step.

What have you learned from watching another athlete?

Congrats to #RTStrong athlete Michael Petersen on another great season in the big leagues. 👏

2026:
65 G | 65.2 IP | 3.02 ERA | 1.13 WHIP
81 K | 25 Holds | 1 Save

And beyond the traditional numbers, Mike finished the year with a 30.1% strikeout rate, a 98.0 MPH average fastball and a .192 expected batting average against.

On Episode 15 of the RT Development Podcast, Mike talked about how Tommy John surgery forced him to approach the game differently.

Unable to pitch, he started studying.

Why did a pitcher throw that pitch? Why not another one? What were his teammates throwing? How were they gripping it?

What could have simply been lost time became an opportunity to understand his craft on a deeper level.

Fast forward to 2026, and Mike put together the best season of his Major League career.

Development doesn't always happen when everything is going right. Sometimes the biggest jumps come from finding a way to keep learning when you can't compete.

Congrats on a great year, Mike. Excited to have you back in the building and get to work. 🤝
