ASU NVG - Night Vision Goggles

The basic parts of my MSA LH250 helmet project.😎

the battery pack is still missing.
There are also no UVs.
That will come later, so it is still work in progress.

You know that feeling when you dig through your old projects and suddenly find something that makes you think, “Wait… this is actually not that bad.” 😄

Well, this is one of those projects.

I built this about 13 years ago. Recently, I decided to give it a little update. I switched the materials from V-Ray to Redshift and created a few new sequences and kept the rest.

It’s definitely not finished, and I tried to hide the unfinished parts as best as I could.

Sometimes old projects deserve a second look.

H145 D3 of the Bavarian Police – A Truly Unique Aircraft

The H145 D3 of the Bavarian Police is an exceptionally versatile helicopter, operating in police missions, search and rescue operations, HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Services), and aerial firefighting missions.

This aircraft is comprehensively equipped with numerous features that are either unique or particularly remarkable in their combination.

Visible external equipment includes:

• EVS Camera mounted on the nose
• L3Harris Wescam CMX-15 DL system
• Multiple GSM antennas
• Dual cargo hook system
• Downward-facing hoist lights
• Rescue hoist
• Blade tip illumination in both IR and white light
• Lynx system
• High-visibility rotor blades with fluorescent blade tips for enhanced safety
• Several additional lights and cameras
• Fenestron illumination for improved ground safety

I received incredible support throughout this project, and development will continue. The external configuration of this special aircraft is now complete, while the interior is still awaiting further refinement and completion.

DUAL CARGO HOOK

The next — and almost final — piece of my external load equipment for the #h145 & #h135 models. 🔩🚁

A spectacular, solid-looking Dual Cargo Hook Kit from #onboardsystems and #airbushelicopters

It’s not 100% finished yet, but I didn’t want to wait to share it.

Getting accurate information on this one was a real challenge. Because of its position underneath the aircraft, there aren’t many photos available. Some incredibly kind and brave people actually crawled under their helicopters to take reference pictures for me. Together with manuals and measurements, I was finally able to match the proportions and get visually very close to the real thing.
