In 1964, the XM16E1 entered US military service as the M16 and in the following year was deployed for jungle warfare operations during the Vietnam War. In 1969, the M16A1 replaced the M14 rifle to become the US military's standard service rifle. The M16A1 incorporated numerous modifications including a bolt-assist ("forward-assist"), chrome-plated bore, protective reinforcement around the magazine release, and revised flash hider. by @roughlynothing

Holy shit, I made it another year.

Thank you everyone that sent me happy birthday wishes and came through to @ritualkavalounge to have a banger time! It really means the world to me. I also want to thank the loves in my life (new AND old) for helping get through so so so so much this last year- you know who you are.

Cheers 💜 by @roughlynothing

One year ago, I started working at @bulakavananda ...
I had been unemployed for about a month after quitting my stuffy corporate job. I needed something new, something to actually care about. What I needed was a community- was Bula.

Since then, there's been a lot of ups and downs in my life, but the one consistent joy was working in a place that I consider home. I've met amazing people, made SO many stupid memories, pet SO MANY DOGS OH MY GOD. It's not an exaggeration to say that this job has changed my life for the better.

Thank you @theycallmerool for putting in a good word for me. You and this place saved me.
