It's taken me a few days to collect myself and my thoughts. I had a wonderful time performing and accepting the 2026 Exceptional Queer Award from @the_burke_institute and @limitless_and_raw

I am grateful to be seen and celebrated by some pretty incredible folks in my industry. I was amazed at every single person who came out to share love, space, laughs, and tears. I'm so blessed to have so many exceptional humans invested in who I am and my success.

Thank you for seeing me, thank you for celebrating me and thank you for being a part of my journey here in Atlanta for the last 14 years.

I wish I would have taken more photos, regardless, I'll cherish the memory of this night for the rest of my life.

Last night was something truly special!

The 2026 Embrace, Empower & Entice Extravaganza — and especially the presentation of the Exceptional Queer Award — was more beautiful, moving, and powerful than I could have imagined.

There were moments of laughter, surprise, tenderness, celebration, and more than a few tears.

By the end of the evening, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

We are still taking it all in, and will be for some time I suspect.

And we are especially honored to have Rebecca Beasley as the inaugural recipient of the Exceptional Queer Award, presented by Raw Connection Services LLC at the 2026 Embrace, Empower & Entice Extravaganza.

The Exceptional Queer Award recognizes a person whose presence, creativity, leadership, generosity, mentorship, and commitment to community create meaningful opportunities for others to grow, connect, challenge themselves, and become more fully themselves.

Rebecca was chosen not for what she creates, but for WHO she is, and what becomes possible for other people because of the way she creates, teaches, mentors, challenges, lives, and shows up in community.

Throughout the evening, people whose lives and creative journeys have intersected with Rebecca as Rebecca Beasley, and as Roula Roulette, shared stories of her impact — the ways she has encouraged growth, opened doors, modeled possibility, invested in others, and contributed to the communities around her.

Her Honorary Posse, gathered in her honor, was a beautiful living representation of that legacy: people she has stood beside, people she has poured into, people who have grown alongside her, and people who continue to stand beside her in return.

That felt like the heart of this recognition.

Rebecca-Roula, we are grateful to have had the opportunity to celebrate you, your creativity, your generosity, and the many ways your work has contributed to the lives of others...especially our own!

Congratulations on being the inaugural recipient of the Exceptional Queer Award. We are honored to begin this legacy with you!
