MVP OPEN AM SIDE - T49 , didn’t make the cut…

This was my first really big tournament of the year and although I wanted to go into it with zero expectations, the result still stings a bit. There were still a lot of positives to take out of the entire experience. I was throwing off the tee pretty good at all 3 courses I played (minus the first few holes played at Oakholm) and my scramble game was probably the best I had ever done in a big tournament. I got to play my rounds with some of my good buddies including @dj2hosley and @hey_bananaman and made some new card friends.

Then there were the negatives. The biggest one was C1 putting, plain and simple. There’s a reason a lot of players have a hard time transitioning from MA1 to MPO or even getting top finishes in MA1 and that is consistency, consistency in putting most of the time. I had about 5 missed birdie putts in C1 and a couple of missed par putts within the same range, one of them being a 10 foot putt at Maple Hill and another being a dead center spit out. Although I was riding the cut line the entire weekend, I thought I could make the cut with not much issue. God had a different plan for me this past weekend. However, I’m more motivated and faithful than ever because of this. How I did at the consolation event at Pyramids shows how capable I am of bouncing back from recent not so ideal results.

I’ll be back next year to get the job done and make the cut. It truly was a key weekend to remember in my time playing disc golf. I’d like to thank Steve Dodge @maplehilldiscgolf @cosmicdiscgolf @milemarker63discgolf @oakholmdiscgolf @marshallstreetdiscgolf and all of the great staff and course TDs (including @cspilman_dg 😉) for delivering the much needed and appreciated experience for many AMs that is @mvp_am_side_2026 🥏.

Additionally, this is my first big tournament representing @prodigystreetteam @prodigydisc @prodigynewera , which I am so thankful for. It’s been a blast putting my bag of discs to great use! I also wanted to make my homies @teambertjohnnysdiscgolf proud, but hey IM BERRRRTTTTT! 💜

Prodigy Street Team 2026 🥏🔥

I’m happy to announce that I will be representing @prodigydisc on the @prodigystreetteam for my 2026 season!

I had begun to fall in love with a lot of Prodigy molds that I gave a shot during the 2025 season and now I will now be working with a full Prodigy bag that I hope will lead to a lot of successes during my 2026 campaign.

I would like to thank my previous sponsors @hooligandiscs and @discgolf978 for the support last year and I wish them great successes in the future!

Oh, and can’t forget I’M BERRRRRTTTTTT @teambertjohnnysdiscgolf

This upcoming season, I have a few A tiers and a select number of B tiers that I plan to compete at in the MA1 division. I still have some time to optimize my bag and really lock in on the putting training especially. I will also do much better in 2026 with making tournament recaps and showing some of my disc golf adventures.

I’m really looking forward to what the 2026 season will bring and I will be sure to cherish my successes and learn well from my failures.

Thanks to @joey_horstmanjr for slapping my face on the peak male physique of Prodigy legend and veteran @jimmydiscgolf 😎.

My 2025 in a nutshell with some nice pics to sum it up 😄. I love and appreciate everyone that I got to experience the year with and I regret not taking MANY more pics to show off lol. And now, my lengthy essay…

2025 was a trip…

This year, I really set out to do as many things as I possibly could that I enjoy. Living life to the fullest came with making some very meaningful and important memories, obtaining knowledge, and meeting/spending time with some great people that made/continue to make a positive impact on my life. However, as much as I enjoyed living life, life began to really take a toll on me.

I had an enormous amount of great experiences doing what I love to do (primarily disc golf and volleyball) but it really came to a point where I simply would not give myself a break because every time I saw ANY opportunity knock, I would almost immediately open the door and just send it. There were a lot of sacrifices that were made to commit to different activities and trips and that really started to impact me physically, mentally, emotionally and financially. At one point, I had really sunk into to dark place due to feeling like I was running myself into the ground but not wanting to stop doing things. I developed a really unhealthy addiction to spending and filling up my schedule with things/activities in too large of quantities. It took a lot of prayer, reflection, decisions made and talking to family and friends for me to get back on the right track and handle myself. For those who heard me out and gave me advice, encouragement and love, I really do love and appreciate you greatly.

The big things that I learned from 2025 after doing as much as I did were to put more focus on the quality rather than the quantity and plan things with better thought and intention. Know what you are capable of and not capable of doing and don’t jump the gun. Be patient, learn to be bored at times, and really make the most out of experiences that come your way that you can afford to have. I thank God for the experiences that bring joy and love but also the ones that provide obstacles and challenges that allow me to learn and grow.

All this being said, bring it on 2026 🔥 by @roumanosjacob

After a cold cold winter, a day that is 55 degrees with lots of sun is gonna have me in a t-shirt and shorts, I don’t care what people say lol.

The discs were flying very well this past Sunday at Borderland State Park. I had to showcase one of my favorite discs in the bag right now, the @innovadiscs Champion Wraith. I’ve had it since the Brewster Ridge Open last year and with it nice and beat in now, it flys so smoothly and handles wind pretty well!

Currently throwing primarily Innova, @discmaniadiscs and @hooligandiscs to start my tournament season. Many including myself are ready for even warmer weather so these discs can fly even further!

Be sure to check out @discgolf978 for any of your disc golf disc, apparel and accessory needs! 🥏🔥

Crazy how much a lil snow and ice can influence a disc golf round in New England ❄️.

Hawkins Woods was a vibe yesterday and glad to have gotten some good throwing in prior to another snow dump. Is that gonna stop me from throwing frisbees? No. Do I REALLY wanna be in 60 degree weather and throwing in t shirts? Frick yeah. Not gonna whine about it though.

More highlights from @milemarker63discgolf on New Years Day! Wishing I didn’t live almost 2 hours away from this beautiful property but always making the most out of every experience I have out there.

Thankful to be able to play a neutral match booked at this course near end of Team Challenge season with @daceydiscgolf Ents and looking forward to slinging some discs to help get a W.

The shot shaping is feeling mighty fine right now and the putting is still a work in progress, but taking good positives after each round played even though playing is limited this winter. Really digging my @hooligandiscs drivers and putters currently alongside the Simon Line Fission Time Lapse and Zone OS for utility shots.

Can’t wait so some work during 2025!

NEW YEARS DAY ACE!!

Got this on camera out of nowhere when I was playing some holes @milemarker63discgolf prior to playing with some friends. It’s my 4th ace ever and my first ever caught on camera (even if I was playing solo). I threw my @hooligandiscs Vibe off the tee and got one of the craziest skips I have ever seen when playing the hole. It really is my favorite disc in my bag lately!

Here’s to a great disc golf year during 2025 for everyone!

Name a better group of disc golfers in all of disc golf, I’ll wait…

Members of @teambertjohnnysdiscgolf from far and wide came together to @maplehilldiscgolf to bring the hype and enthusiasm on Championship Sunday of the @mvpopenatmaplehill

This had to be one of the most electric and crazy events on the @discgolfprotour this year, completely unforgettable. We all made our presence known throughout the course, the Bert mask made live and @jomezpro coverage, and we got to witness some of the craziest finishes in disc golf this year.

I will always cherish the times spent with this group and can’t wait to have a blast at the event next year!

Also S/O to @mdeblaze , @cspilman_dg and the rest of the Bert Johnnies not pictured here that were putting in the work to help make the event so amazing.

WE’RE BERRRRRTTTTT
