AD “Roundhouse designed my kitchen 13 years ago, and it still works brilliantly. The refresh was not about changing the fundamentals; I wanted to build on a design that had already stood the test of time.” - Yotam Ottolenghi

For more than a decade, @ottolenghi‘s kitchen has been at the heart of his family life. It is where his recipes have been tested, meals have been shared and countless conversations have unfolded. When he returned to Roundhouse to refresh the space, the goal was not to start again, but to build on a kitchen that was already working beautifully.

After all these years, the greatest compliment is that Yotam Ottolenghi chose Roundhouse again.
Discover the kitchen and story behind the internationally renowned chef.

When it comes to luxury kitchen design, 30 years of experience speaks for itself.

Founded by architects in 1996 and shaped by architectural thinking, that conviction still runs through every bespoke kitchen we design and make today. Many award-winning projects and designers later, and still independently British, we’ve spent three decades enriching people’s lives through great design, and many of the kitchens we made 25 years ago are still in daily use to prove it.

Would natural materials bring a sense of calm to your home?

In this bespoke kitchen, oak fluted cabinetry introduces warmth and texture, balanced by sculpted Taj Mahal quartzite that anchors the space with quiet confidence. Influenced by Japandi design and restraint, the scheme extends beyond the kitchen itself, boasting a concealed home bar, integrated TV and media unit, with bespoke joinery that carries the same considered finish throughout the entire space.

It's no wonder this award-winning project took home SBID Global Kitchen Design and Designerati Kitchen of the Year!

Monday may have been World Architecture Day, but at Roundhouse, we celebrate architecture 365 days a year.

We believe the best kitchen design starts with understanding the space it calls home. From listed buildings and period properties to contemporary extensions, distinctive architectural details and unusual rooflines, the best kitchens do not simply sit within the architecture. They feel as though they have always belonged there.

Founded by architects over 30 years ago, architectural thinking continues to shape every bespoke kitchen and project we design. We look first at proportions, natural light, original features and the way spaces connect, taking time to understand what makes a home unique before considering how the kitchen should respond.

Double bullnose worktop • Fluted walnut cabinetry

The devil is truly in the details when it comes to luxury interiors.

True bespoke design means no two kitchens need ever be the same. With every detail considered around your home, your style and the way you live, the possibilities are endless. Think cabinet beading created specifically to echo your home’s architecture, drawer inserts crafted around exactly what you need to store, statement stone edges, sculptural curves and metal-wrapped cabinetry designed entirely for your space.

Proof that a traditional kitchen can feel fresh, light and beautifully individual.

Designed for a busy family, this Classic kitchen pairs Little Greene Portland Stone cabinetry with a contrasting Three Farm Green island, honed Carrara marble and natural oak for a calm, timeless feel. Look a little closer and a secret utility room is seamlessly concealed behind the tall cabinetry doors, keeping laundry, storage and the realities of everyday family life tucked away from the main kitchen. A considered balance of classic kitchen design, clever hidden storage and a welcoming space made for modern family life.

Thirty years of British craftsmanship, with endless possibilities to create something truly bespoke.

At our own factory beneath the Malvern Hills in Worcestershire, our craftspeople combine traditional British joinery with precision engineering to create bespoke kitchens and furniture made entirely to order. From one-off dimensions and specialist finishes to intricate details and sculptural curves, our designers and makers work side by side to bring the most ambitious ideas to life. Because truly bespoke design is not simply about choosing from a range of options, but having the freedom to create something entirely individual to you and your home.

A kitchen designed to make a statement, yet perfectly in harmony with the architecture of its home, right down to the smallest detail.

Patagonia Natural quartzite takes centre stage, illuminated from within by a bespoke lighting system that reveals the stone’s natural beauty. Farrow & Ball Pitch Black cabinetry, antique brass detailing and a Blenheim Antique mirror splashback create a dramatic backdrop, while a triangular brass sink and angular accents echo the skylights above. Designed for family living and entertaining, a suspended brass home bar and bespoke wine storage bring another layer of thoughtful design to this extraordinary space.

The most interesting kitchens are not just beautiful to look at, they make you want to reach out and touch them.

From fluted oak and walnut to painted and matt lacquer finishes, our Milano, Roma and Asolo designs explore three distinctive profiles, from soft concave and convex curves to a more architectural squared reed. But why stop at cabinetry? In our bespoke kitchens, the possibilities are endless: fluted marble wrapped around a statement kitchen island, sculptural double bullnose worktop edges, reeded wall panelling and fluted glass catching the light, all layering texture, contrast and craftsmanship throughout the space.
