Such a great weekend at the @spikeballtourseries Columbus Major where @chasecbremner and I finished in 3rd in contender to qualify for premier! It was unreal watching Chase eat up so many of our opponents hits on defense. I’m so happy he was able to earn premier. We had some battles throughout the day with our last pool play game being a narrow 21-19 win to clinch the 4 seed. Then we needed 3 games to advance out of the R16 and the windy quarterfinals. Thanks to @j_zwills and the STS team for putting on an amazing event at one of the most epic venues! Congrats to @in_system_roundnet for winning a stacked premier division after 12 hours of playing and to @twinzroundnet for winning yet another women’s division. Can’t wait for the STS Championship in Philadelphia this fall. taken in Fortress Obetz by @roundnetwyatt

The 1st ever Windy City Classic that was also apart of the @spikeballtourseries was one to remember! It was an incredible weekend with almost 100 teams on Saturday and over 30 mixed teams on Sunday! It was such an honor to host this challenger and it was amazing to see so many teams from so many different parts of the country and even Canada! Many of the Canadians made their trip across the border a success with multiple podium finishes in the top divisions.

The #1 team in the power rankings @rogue_roundnet dominated in the premier division and made the @livonia_roundnet group back in Michigan proud. Also representing Michigan was my man @rubenzapata_roundnet who was long overdue for qualifying for premier!

Special thanks to everyone who helped out during the weekend by bringing sets or balls, streaming, filming content, observing, and to all the players for coming and allowing everything to go smoothly. Special thanks to Steven with @honor.the.commitment for working the event as the athletic trainer to keep the players as healthy as possible!

I’ll be hosting 2 more @illinoisroundnet events this summer in Crete on 7/29 and our 1st ever state championship in Evanston on 8/26. Be sure to check those out at our website(link in my bio) and get registered on Fwango #Spikeball #Roundnet #schaumburg taken in Olympic Park, Schaumburg IL by @roundnetwyatt

Kobe Bryant was taken from us way too soon. He was a winner, a legend, and the ultimate competitor on the basketball court and he was a great father, husband, and role model off it. As someone who grew up watching him and @shaq dominating their way to a three peat, I feel he is a big reason that I love watching the sport of basketball, playing it in the backyard or with friends as a kid, and even just throwing paper balls into the trash while yelling his name. He shaped a generation of players and will never be forgotten. Honesty this hurts, but your legacy will live on forever and I will always be grateful for the great memories you gave me. Thank you Kobe 🙏 by @roundnetwyatt

After an amazing visit last weekend, some things I could call Lambeau Field:
Titletown
The Frozen Tundra
Home of the 13 time world champions
Beautiful
The holy land of football
Over a century of greatness
Cheesehead Country

What I’m proud to say I wouldn’t call it: Hammond, Indiana taken in Lambeau Field by @roundnetwyatt

It was such a blast playing the @illinoisroundnet State Championship with @kyle_fowler_roundnet who has gotten so much better since I 1st saw him play! We’ve been wanting to run a tournament together for a while and finally got the chance to. We secured a 3rd place finish which allowed me to sneak onto Team Illinois for the 3rd time. Watch out for Kyle at national events as he continues to make ridiculous plays. Check out these highlights. There might even be more where this came from 👀 by @roundnetwyatt

Thank you to everyone who came out to Oak Brook for the @usa_roundnet MW Regionals! It was one of the most stacked events of the year with many top players there who will be competing for national titles in October. Even a lightning delay couldn’t stop all the action for long.

It was super cool to be one of the 1st big tournaments ever to use the new @premier.spike bigger balls. Everyone seemed to enjoy them and they led to plenty of amazing rallies. There should be some really good footage coming out of this event that used @roundnetfederation package C rules with the bigger balls.

USAR played a huge role in planning the event and getting a bunch of cool sponsors like LMNT, Chick Fil A, and Starbucks that players took full advantage of. This event also wouldn’t have been possible without @dupagesportscommission connecting us with the venue as well as setting up a hotel room block.

Be on the lookout for some great photos from the day as we had some camera savvy Illinois guys taking pictures when they weren’t playing. taken in Oak Brook, Illinois by @roundnetwyatt

How many roundnet events have long time players and community members been to over the years? Check out some of the numbers for @roundnetwyatt who started playing in 2015. He has been to a ton of events as a player, host, and spectator. Numbers are through May 2025. What stands out? Who else would you like to see these kind of breakdowns on? by @roundnetwyatt

Seattle has always been high on the bucket list of places to visit and I finally checked it off. It was a great time sightseeing and playing in the @usa_roundnet sectional. Some of the cool places I saw were the Space Needle, Pike Place, The Gum Wall, Climate Pledge Arena(home of the Kraken, Storm, and maybe a new/resurrected NBA team in the future), Lumen Field(home of the Seahawks and Sounders), the Museum of Flight(a ton of great exhibits of old planes and spacecrafts), and Mt Rainier in the distance.

On Saturday I played in the USAR sectional and got to experience the awesome @pnwroundnet community. Not only did I play with someone I met that day, but he was coming off a month long trip across Europe. Huge shoutout to @zach.abas for fighting through the jet lag to partner up. Big thanks to @saberrytwo for connecting us and running the event. We took the 3 seed after going undefeated in pool play. After winning in 2 games in the R16, we’d fall in a close 3 game series in the quarters to the team who finished 3rd. This trip was definitely a fun one with a great mix of cool sights and playing roundnet! taken in Seattle, Washington by @roundnetwyatt

The @americanspikersleague program playoffs once again proved why it is one of the best roundnet events of the year! It was an unreal weekend of competing in the event, watching one of the most electric matches ever, and helping plan the upcoming PRO League. @illinoisroundnet brought 4 squads to Orlando where we got to compete and hang out together all weekend. I played on the premier squad where we went 2-3 in pool play and 1-2 in bracket matches. We finished 26th overall(out of 36 squads). Getting out of the cold Chicago weather and being in nice 70 degree weather was a great bonus. Props to ASL for another amazing event and can’t wait to work with them to bring the PRO League to life later this year. taken in Orlando, Florida by @roundnetwyatt

2024 was another great year in my roundnet career.

*Went to Orlando to play in the ASL Program Playoffs alongside 4 squads from Illinois
*Organized another @illinoisroundnet Tournament Series
*Started the @roundnetarchive page to highlight historic players, team, events, and moments in the sport. This has also included weekly trivia questions
*Hosted a @usa_roundnet Regional in April which drew many top players vying to make Team USA at Worlds
*Captained an 8 player squad in the ILR summer league
*Helped run the @spikeballtourseries Chicago Major in July, which drew over 180 teams on Saturday
*Went to the Salt Lake City Major on my birthday weekend and saw some super scenic mountain views
*Ran the 2nd Illinois Roundnet State Championship
*Watched the Roundnet World Championship in London where the US national teams defended their titles
*Went to Rock Hill, SC for the 10th STS Championship to see who got crowned the seasons champions

Can’t wait for what 2025 has in store and I am excited to do my part to help grow and change the sport. by @roundnetwyatt
