NOW I’M LOOKING FOR THE NEXT 3. 🟢

Three serious route runners in grades 8–10 who are ready to invest in their development, trust the process, and do the work starting now.

Not looking for the most talented. Looking for the most COMMITTED.

TJ said something that a lot of people don’t want to hear…

Most receivers assume their position coach’s job is to develop every detail of their game.

The reality?

A WR coach’s first responsibility is helping the team win games—not spending hours rebuilding one player’s releases, stems, leverage, top of the route, or football IQ. And the amateur levels have even less time to spend developing their players than the pros do.

That’s why the best players in the world seek coaching OUTSIDE the building.

Not because their coaches aren’t good…

Because mastery requires focused, individualized development.

That’s where most athletes get it wrong.

They spend all offseason collecting drills instead of understanding why they’re doing them.

🥼🧪 That’s the difference.

I don’t just teach receivers what to do.

I teach them why and when to do it—so they can make the right decision against any leverage, any coverage, and any DB.

That’s how you stop guessing…
That’s how you play faster…
That’s how you become unguardable.

If you’re serious about becoming the receiver defensive coordinators have to game plan for, send me a DM with “UNGUARDABLE” and let’s build a plan to make you impossible to cover. by @routes_inc

The drills aren’t the secret.

The understanding is.

If you see another coach using a drill I’ve posted, good. That means more athletes are getting exposed to quality training. I’ve never believed in gatekeeping knowledge.

Here’s the difference:

Anybody can copy what I do.

Very few can explain why we do it, when to use it, and how it connects to getting open on Fridays, Saturdays and even Sundays.

My terminology is intentional. Every cue, every phrase, every concept is designed to help a receiver make the mental connection to the physical movement. That’s what creates confidence under pressure.

The drills are just the vehicle.

The football IQ behind them is the engine.

So no… I’m not worried about people “stealing” my drills.

Because they can’t steal the understanding.

👇 What’s one coaching cue that’s helped you finally “get it” as a receiver?

I just want to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone who took the time to wish me a happy birthday this week! Whether it was a call, text, message, post, or simply a kind thought, please know that I genuinely appreciate every bit of love shown my way.

As I get older, I’m reminded that life’s greatest blessings aren’t measured by what we have, but by the people we’re fortunate enough to share this journey with.

I’m grateful for another year of life, another opportunity to grow, and another chance to make a positive impact on the people around me. God has been incredibly good to me, and I don’t take any of it for granted.

Thank you all for making me feel loved, valued, and appreciated. The feeling is mutual, and I pray that the love you’ve shown me finds its way back to you tenfold.

Much love and gratitude to you all! 🙏🏾 taken in Caesars Superdome by @routes_inc

THE SEASON YOU WANTED AND THE SEASON YOU PREPARED FOR AREN’T ALWAYS THE SAME. 🎯

It’s easy to blame circumstances when things don’t go your way.

It’s harder to evaluate yourself and identify where YOU fell short.

But that’s where real development begins.

You can’t change yesterday’s results. You CAN change tomorrow’s preparation.

Which of these 5 hit home? Leave it in the comments, and follow for more WR essentials. 🧪 by @routes_inc

BEING COACHABLE ISN’T ENOUGH.

You can listen, nod your head, and say “I got it” all day long.

But can you actually APPLY what you’ve been taught?

The difference between average and elite athletes isn’t that elite athletes never make mistakes.

It’s how quickly they recognize, correct, and stop repeating them.

Feedback without application is just information.

The goal isn’t perfection. It’s PROGRESSION.

And the faster you can make corrections, the faster you can develop.

Are you coachable, or are you just good at listening? 👀

Same drill. 3 different receivers. 👀

They say the devil is in the details…

Watch all 3 reps CLOSELY. There’s something I want you to notice. 🧪

What differences do YOU see? 🤔👇🏾

4’8”. 88 pounds. A dream that made absolutely NO sense.

My mom was just trying to protect me. But I saw something in myself that my circumstances couldn’t explain.

Sometimes the people who love you most can’t see what YOU see.

That doesn’t mean they’re wrong for worrying. And it doesn’t mean you’re wrong for DREAMING.

Don’t let where you START determine how far you believe you can GO.

YOUR PRIORITIES WILL ALWAYS EXPOSE YOUR AMBITIONS. 🎯

Everybody wants the offers, recognition, and opportunity to play on Saturdays.

But are your daily habits aligned with those goals?

Stop prioritizing the REWARDS of being great over the RESPONSIBILITIES of becoming great.

The offers are a byproduct. The WORK is the priority.

Before you ask who’s recruiting you, ask yourself:

WOULD YOU RECRUIT YOU?

Drills can teach you the skill.

But eventually… YOU HAVE TO PLAY FOOTBALL. 😂

Some of the best “drills” we had growing up weren’t drills at all.

We PLAYED.

We competed. We reacted. We figured things out on the fly. We learned spacing, timing, body control, awareness, toughness and how to solve problems without somebody stopping the rep every 5 seconds.

I started telling them about one of the games we used to play growing up… and quickly realized I was giving a history lesson. 😂 These kids looked at me like I was describing something from the 1900s. (I was)

Either way, the lesson is the same:

The drill is supposed to prepare you for the game.
The drill is NOT the game.

At some point, take the cones away. Stop scripting every movement. Put another human across from them and LET THEM PLAY.

That’s where technique becomes instinct.
That’s where IQ gets tested.
That’s where players learn to find answers.

The routes ARE the drills.

If you coach ball, send this to a coach who needs to let the kids PLAY a little more. 😂🏈

The RESULT is just a byproduct of the PROCESS.

Because the process is building something bigger than the outcome.

It’s building:

COMPOSURE.
CONFIDENCE.
CONSISTENCY.
DISCIPLINE.
FOCUS.
PATIENCE.
PRACTICAL APPLICATION.
PRECISION.
RESILIENCE.

If all you do is chase results, you’ll overlook who you’re becoming along the way.

The result is the reward.
The process is the development.

Stop measuring your progress by outcomes alone.

Show up. Get coached. Apply the feedback. Do the reps. Make the adjustments. Raise your standard.

Don’t just chase the result. Become the person capable of producing it—again and again.

If you’re a receiver committed to the PROCESS—not just chasing highlights—follow for more coaching and share this with somebody who needs the reminder.
