A beautiful but remote, Hunder village sits like an oasis in the middle of the cold desert in Nubra valley of Jammu and Kashmir. Seven kilometres from Diskit which is known for its Buddhist monastery, Nubra has acquired fame for its sand dunes, the cold desert that surrounds it, Bactrian camels and its breath-taking natural beauty.

Situated close to the Siachen glacier and Pakistan border in Jammu and Kashmir in north India, entry beyond Hunder village is barred as the area ahead is controlled by the Indian Army. Hunder is approximately 160 km from Leh and one has to cross Khardung La, the world’s highest motorable pass to reach the remote village.

Everything you've ever wanted is on the other side of fear!

I reached the last milestone over the Mighty "Umling La Pass" going through some difficult terrains, low oxygen levels and breath taking landscapes. This is how I made it to the World's Highest motorable road in Ladakh at 19,024 feet above sea level.

A beautiful endorheic lake situated in the Himalayas, it is 134 km long, extending from India to China. One of the highest altitude lakes in the world standing at a height of 4350 meters.

Two wheels, endless adventures and now, a chapter is closed! Farewell, my friend - Rover (Himalayan 411). You'll be missed!

27000 km of pure motorcycle riding on my Royal Enfield Himalayan 411, it has been a great companion for all of my adventurous on road/off road trips. From being to the highest motorable road in the world to the worst of the off-roads, it did it exceptionally well.

It has taken me to the places which I have always dreamed of and also the places which i would have never imagined without this motorcycle. I will never forget that milestone of doing a solo ride of 1100 plus kms on this motorcycle in one day, all I did was trust this machine and it never disappointed me.

I'm not saying goodbye to my motorcycle, I'm saying see you later, when I can afford another one!

Sahasralinga is a beautiful pilgrimage place where several hundreds of Shiva lingas are carved on rocks in the river shalmala and on its banks. There's also a hanging bridge for the locals to cross the river shalmala!
