MEET THE COACHES- COACH CONRAD RUN COACH

Conrad competed for the University of Manitoba from 2012 to 2017, focusing on the 800m and 1000m, with personal bests of 1:53.60 and 2:29.89.

After graduation, Conrad moved to Alberta to begin his teaching and coaching career, leading junior varsity and varsity cross country and track and field programs. He is NCCP trained in Sprints and Hurdles and Foundations of Coaching Athletics.

Following a break from competitive running , Conrad joined the University of Calgary Athletic Club, where he set a personal best of 3:54.04 in the 1500m during the 2023 outdoor season.

Now focused on competitive road racing, Conrad trains in collaboration with Up and Running Physio and Bison Athletic Club. His coaching philosophy combines scientific training principles with practical, athlete-centered planning, aiming to help runners thrive both in sport and in life. He believes effective coaching means balancing structured training with the realities of work, recovery, and motivation. Most recently, Conrad ran a personal best of 1:13:33 in the half marathon at the 2025 WFPS Run, a reflection of his continued pursuit of performance and growth as both athlete and coach. by @roverrunning

Absolutely stoked to have run a giant personal best of 1:13:33 at the @wfpsrun Half Marathon this morning! This was the first time breaking 1:20 since 2018! I could not have asked for a better training group to get me through my first fall season back in Winnipeg! Thank you @upandrunningphysio for all the support and killer swag! by @roverrunning

Hey everyone!

I’m thrilled to share a passion project I’ve been working on—my very own podcast! 🎙️

After teaching Communications Technology (A/V Production) and seeing my students dive into creative storytelling, I was inspired to dust off my own equipment and go all in on a project that combines my love for learning and connecting with inspiring people.

Introducing “Professional Development with Mr. Drover”—a podcast where I sit down with fascinating professionals from diverse fields like education, athletics, business, and more to learn, grow, and bring fresh insights into both my teaching and personal life.

Launch Date: March 3rd with a 2-episode premiere!

Episode #1 – Molly Maguire: An amazing author, social studies teacher, and stage actor!
Episode #2 – Jessica O’Connell: 5000m Olympian and exercise physiologist/high-performance coach!

Starting something new is always a challenge, and I’d love your support! If you can, please:
