Only a small crew headed back up to Ocean Breeze for the Fast Track Invite and thankfully so as it turned into sabotage for the women weight throwers, if you were there you know exactly how upset all the throws coaches were.

@buddha_throws struggled to put a throw together and only held onto one for a modest 12.33.

@parisdisc remained consistent making another final to finish 8th with 14.73

@alexiaa.bey was consistent as well making another final in shot with two throws at 11.61 for 8th and despite having to wait over an hour for womens weight finals, managed to finish 5th with 15.85, her fourth best throw ever.

The crew is back in full force next at the Widener Indoor Classic with Coach @elisia.lan competing and one of our throwers returning from surgery much earlier than expected!

The squads split up completely this week with the men heading north to Ocean Breeze for the Fast Track Invite while the women along with Coach @elisia.lan (who won the Millrose games the night before!) went across the river to the Widener Schuykill Showdown.

@alaijha.wilson made her first indoor final in shot to finish with a 1/2 meter PR in 7th place with 11.05.

@allisieminski had her third and fourth best throws ever in weight for 11th place with 12.24.

@buddha_throws hit a new PR plus his second best throw ever in shot to make the final finishing 9th w/ 14.36.

@caudill_throws hit his second, third and fourth best throws ever in weight finishing 7th place w/14.70 and would duplicate the same finish in shot.

@alexiaa.bey had her second best series ever in weight to finish in 2nd place w/ 16.09 following up with a third place in shot.

@parisdisc PR’d 4 times in weight to ultimately improve by 1 1/2+ meters finishing in 2nd place with 16.09.

The men and women will be back together in the next meet heading back up to Ocean Breeze.

The Boom Boom Squad attacked multiple sites this week and started at Widener for some “Friday Night Weights” with everyone demolishing their PR’s!

Paris opened his indoor season with his second best throw ever then followed it up with every throw further than his PR while catapulting himself into our programs top 10 to sit at 5th all time!
5th place 14.50 m

Josh had his most consistent series ever hitting a PR, tying his old PR and throwing his new 3rd, 4th and 5th best throws ever moving himself into 4th all time for our program!
4th place 14.82 m

Alli continues to makes strides learning the weight and opened her day going nearly a meter past her PR, then went over a meter further past that, made her first final and hit her second best throw ever. She’s on the edge of the top 10 for our program and sits 11th all time!
3rd place 12.51 m

Lexi kept her momentum moving and though determined a foul she opened her series with 16.58 meters unofficially smashing her PR by over a meter, on her next two throws she officially hit two new PRs and two throws later, to ensure the first one wasn’t a fluke, she hit 16.43 meters to win the meet by nearly two meters, place herself 3rd all time for our program and presently 16th in the NCAA DIII!

Day 2 the ladies went out to Bucknell while the guys headed to Haverford

Alaijha opened up her indoor shot season with her best opener to date as well as her 3rd best throw ever!
10.55 m

Lex finished out the week with her 4th shot throw ever to make it to the final.
8th place 11.81 m

Buddha improved building from the week before but lost a big foul and would have went to the final if there wasn’t only 4 throws…
3rd 13.25 m

And Josh was only two centimeters off his PR to hit his second best throw ever finishing second behind an unattached thrower
2nd place 15.03 m

Up next, the men’s side of the Boom Boom squad will attack the Mets Championship at Ocean Breeze while the women along with Asst Throws Coach E head to the Schuylkill Show case at Widener University.

Elisia Lancaster kicked off the Millrose Games in style 💥 Winning the weight throw for the second straight year with a massive 21.56m (70’9”) for The Shore A.C. by @rowan_throws

Rowan Throws is back and started off the ‘26 season at the Gotham cup at Ocean Breeze against a field with the majority being D1 and D2 comp. Though a smaller crew they broke off the rust and most left with a PR in at least 1 event.

Women’s Shot:
@alexiaa.bey threw her 3rd best throw ever
4th place 11.97 m

Men’s Shot:
@buddha_throws now officially a Prof hit a modest season opener
12.32 m

@caudill_throws hit his best opener, only a couple centimeters under where he ended outdoor
4th place 14.84 m

Women’s Weight:
@allisieminski in only her second year after leaving a career as a soccer player put together her best series ever with 2 PR’s plus her fourth throw best ever
10.57 m

Josh kept the momentum rolling into weight with two throws past his PR and moving from 12th all time for our program into 7th.
14.43 m

Lex opened with her best series ever to finish with a PR behind three D1 throwers and a Pro.
5th place 15.44

And for a little Millrose Games tune up, our new volunteer Asst. Throws Coach, Coach E @elisia.lan dropped a few mini bombs over 21 meters, finishing with 21.93 m.

Next up for The Boom Boom squad will be Haverford/Widener and Bucknell!

Part 2 of highlighting how we finished at Outdoors Nationals before moving onto this years squad.

The return to nationals each year is not guaranteed but I quickly learned the question was not whether he would return, but how much higher on the podium would he finish? Day in and day out consistency was his key, he unlocked every training day by stepping into that session with focus during each throw and rep.

Entering nationals ranked 6th it took a couple rounds to find his rhythm but on his third throw he would find it and launch himself into 1st with a new PR. Holding onto to top spot he would further his mark in the 5th round establishing another new PR and resetting the mark to beat. He held onto 1st place until the final round where subsequently he was bumped to second finishing as National Runner Up and First Team All American.

Returning to Nationals having finished third the year prior, then finishing 2nd this past year, is hopefully just a countdown to the top.

Another track season is here but considering we didn’t post about National’s, due to the fact I didn’t want to admit it was over, before we can talk about where we are, we’re going to highlight how we finished at Outdoor Nationals ‘25 - Part 1.

Though her time as a Prof has ended she left her mark on our program and within the NCAA DIII. Her time management was second to none, balancing graduate school, working full time between two jobs, and throwing plus lifting (typically at 6 am), setting the example for present and future athletes that where there’s a will there is absolutely a way.

Despite an achilles injury mid season and dealing with a long term shoulder injury, she entered Nationals ranked 18th in Jav and 10th in Shot. Her first event was Jav where she battled physically but also mentally since having the second furthest Jav PR in the field. Enduring the pain on her last throw she managed to go from 18th to 12th and bittersweetly claimed her 6th All American honor.

Day 2 was Shot Put and the opportunity for redemption. Struggling to get a good throw off she was posed with arguably one of the greatest challenges, she threw after the top ranked thrower who ironically would break the national record in the third round. Despite having a lengthy wait while the mark was confirmed, she entered the circle sitting in 16th, moments later she walked out of the circle to hear the officials read 14.07, catapulting her to 6th and tying her second best throw ever. She would manage to hold on to 6th place through finals and claim another 1st Team All American honor.
