Last event with Moana Pasifika over the weekend. Great way to sign off an awesome chapter with an amazing team. Unlikely to have a season surrounded with more challenges than this one. Late call in, week in and week out prepping a team in a tough comp with limited resources, Team told there was no future halfway through the season, liquidators called in during training days, having to find new training fields in the middle of the season not to mention payment and job uncertainty for players, coaches and management. But in the backdrop of this, the resilience and mental toughness of this coaching, management and @ian2putala analysis team was unbelievable, never once experienced a negative attitude, no victim mentality in sight, coached and delivered roles like true professionals despite not knowing from day to day whether there would be a tomorrow and on top of this the team performances got better as the challenges became greater.

It was a pleasure to be a part of this coaching team, always supportive, always fun, no ego’s, never a dull moment and always looked forward to coming in every morning. Thanks @tana_umaga13 for your leadership, you made it look easy and I know it wasn’t. It was a privilege to experience your mana behind closed doors. To the rest of the coaches, @seilalamapusua @alandosoakai @tj.coventry @pauliasimanu Amazing coaches, unique styles, Top men by @rowe.glen
