4,733 athletes, 889 clubs and 52 countries came together at the 2026 World Rowing Masters Regatta. Half of Olympics!

The best ever sport event I participated.

The most breathtaking venue for rowing.

The most inspiring Masters community.

"Keep Ithaka always in your mind.
Arriving there is what you're destined for.
But don't hurry the journey at all."
(Cavafy)

With all the buzz around the Odysseus movie, my friends - who know all about my love for Greece - keep asking me: "Have you ever been to Ithaca?"

Yes, I did ❤️! Visited back in 2018.
It is not a big island, but it is incredibly green and such a calm, peaceful place to unwind. You won't find massive resorts there, accommodation is mostly apartments, which just adds to its authentic charm.
Besides taking Odysseus’s legendary route, you can also reach Ithaca by ferry from Lefkada, or from nearby Kefalonia.

As with every place in Greece, I highly recommend visiting Ithaca.
Enjoy it 🇬🇷!
