I didn't think Iowa would be as cool as it actually was. Although there is lots of corn, there is also corn, and more corn, as well as corn. Seriously though, we met some really cool folks this year at the 2024 NRL Hunter Grand Slam and had the BEST post match banquet hosted by @twinspringssc.
Thanks toJim See for setting the course of fire and keeping us safe. Also thanks for the extra chamber flags to replace the ones I lost en route from stage to stage. Thanks to @caldwellshooting who brought some really awesome match goodies for all of the competitors and ROs. I will certainly be using that compact screwdriver kit. Also a big thanks to @sigsauer_usa for sponsoring the match.
Nick and I were able to make the most out of our time there by taking first in the team division that was stacked to the gills with talent. Congrats to Dan and Ryan on 2nd and Kahl and Tyler in 3rd. Also a big Congrats to @alwinearcher for the 12 or so tropies he took home from this match! Our squad also did really well with @1seth_mcanally taking the open light title and @andi_cloan finishing second in the ladies division while being pregnant in her second trimester.
I want to thank all of the companies that support these matches and support myself as well. @noslerinc @defiancemachine @mdttac21 @officialhsprecision @lilja_rifle_barrels @leupoldoptics . Having quality equipment makes a difference!

Ps. Thanks To Nick as well for keeping me focused and on target. #kirklandbillybutcher #nrlhunter #longrange #defiancemachine #twovetstripdsinc taken in Decorah, Iowa by @roweswood

Everything is pokey in New Mexico. Nick and I made the best of our time there, but it wasn't without struggle. The heat index was "Volcano," and we northerners apparently aren't cut out for that, haha. The venue, however, was picturesque and exactly what I pictured New Mexico in my mind. Justin did a great job of exposing what we needed to work on as a team and gave us some motivation to improve. Big thanks to @defiancemachine for the sponsorship, prizes, food, and lodging for us. As always, my gear performed well! It was great to see the usual suspects and awesome to make some new friends. Thanks for the sweet camera work @logansummersimaging

As it turns out, Nick shoots just as well in the #nrlhunter as he does in the PRS and RTC. I'm happy to report that he didn't call me a donkey once all weekend! Thanks for the great match and venue Dane and John. This match was a tough grind trying to find targets, but our swaros found them all! We were both running @defiancemachine actions and @leupoldoptics MK5HD scopes along with @noslerinc 6.5-140 RDFs to come away with the team win at the NRL Leupold Relentless Rifleman last weekend. Thanks, @madiiiwoodward for setting up the lunches and photography.

A big congrats to our Sponsored Shooter @roweswood for clinching first place in the factory class shooting at the 2024 MDT Hunter Challenge in Arbuckle, California.

James won the factory class with our Nosler Carbon Chassis rifle chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, loaded with 140gr Reduced Drag Factor (RDF) bullets and Nosler Brass.

James is not only a talented shooter, he is a huge asset to Nosler as our Controls Engineering Manager.

The year is just starting and we can't wait to see what else James puts under his belt. by @roweswood

Something old and something new. Our old Nosler sign with our newest rifle, the CCH chambered in 6.5 Creed, running 140 RDF. I was able to take this beauty down to the NRL Hunter MDT triple pull challenge hosted by @dan_bertocchini, and come home with a factory trophy! My gear ran amazing all weekend and I had a blast with some old friends while making a bunch of new friends. Thanks to @noslerinc for sending me with this rifle to compete, Thanks to @buckserres for hanging out with me all weekend and making me laugh to tears! Good shooting @rileyfoster06 , Way to set the standard! The NRL Hunter will challenge your skills, especially this match. I found quite a few things I need to start working on. If you are wanting to be a more efficient shooter in the field, check out the NRL Hunter website.

Also, hotel sinks are multi use, just ask Buck.

Blue skies at Blue Ridge this weekend. It was a great weekend to shoot! 6mm-115 RDF in the long gun and 9mm-115 JHP in the little gun. Trophies were cool and blue as well. Thanks for sponsoring the event Vortex!

This Lilja #6 fluted is a hammer with the 140 RDF! Feels good to have cold bore predictability again.
