august 10th marks six years in nyc, the city I wanted to live in since i was 13. people think i’m joking when I said, I moved here because of gossip girl, but i became enamored with the nyc and all the glitz and glam.

what I didn’t realize then was that by moving to brooklyn would feel like finding a second home. the vibrant jamaican and broader caribbean community here makes me feel deeply connected, what a blessing to hear patois every day i leave my house.

earlier this year, I joined @afjcares volunteer committee. one of my goals for my 30s is to give more of my time to causes that matter to me. yesterday, in partnership with @visitjamaica, we brought awareness to support education, health care, and economic development initiatives Jamaica — my favorite place on earth. 🖤💚💛 taken in Southampton, New York by @rowilson

thank you for the wonderful birthday wishes, geminis are often so misunderstood, but i wouldn’t want to be any other sign in the world. I’m entering 32 with so much excitement for the year ahead. 🪩 taken in St Barth, Caraïbes by @rowilson
