Hi 👋 I’m Roxanne!

I live in Denver, Colorado, with my husband, our three kids, ages 15, 9, and 18 months, and two goldendoodles, so yes, our house is basically always loud. 😂

I’ve spent the last 10+ years building businesses, and I also have a background in finance. But over the last six months, something became a lot more personal for me.

After experiencing the loss of a family member and everything that comes with handling an estate afterward, I became really passionate about estate planning, life insurance, and helping families actually understand how to prepare for the future.

Because there are SO many things I wish more families talked about before they had to.

Outside of money and business, I’m a sucker for live music, casual hangs, finding new restaurants, and knowing what’s happening around Denver.

My favorite concert ever was Alabama Shakes at Vertex Music Festival, which sadly doesn’t even exist anymore. 😩

I’m also slightly obsessed with content creation and genuinely believe that if you have even the smallest inkling that you want to show up online, you should do it. Post the video. Start the page. Share what you know.

Right now, I’m also documenting something pretty big in real time, the mountain property our family inherited.

There are renovations, expenses, estate decisions, and some pretty major choices we have to make that could impact our family’s future, and I’m sharing all of it along the way.

This video made me a little emotional. We’re so focused on the end goal and where we’re trying to get that I don’t want to accidentally rush through this part.

Because right now we’re in the messy middle. We’re figuring things out, changing things, trying things, probably getting some of it wrong 😂 but we’re doing it together as a family. And these are the moments I know I’m going to miss someday.

A little mountain house update and honestly just where my head is at with all of this. There are still so many unknowns, a lot of decisions to make, and I truly have no idea how this is all going to turn out. But I do have faith that somehow it’s all working together for our good, even if I can’t see what that looks like yet.

I’m learning to be okay with not having every answer and just take the next step in front of us. I want to share the good, the hard, the mistakes and everything we learn along the way. I started picking up some extra work mostly because I wanted to get out of the house, meet new people, and do something a little different.

Somehow, I ended up finding a really cool way to support local charities by working their auctions, and it’s been incredibly rewarding.

One of my favorite parts has been learning about each organization, the work they’re doing, and the people they’re helping. You don’t always realize how many amazing people are quietly doing really important work right in your own community.

I went into it looking for a little extra work and ended up finding something I genuinely enjoy. Funny how that happens. 🤍 taken in Denver, Colorado by @roxanne.gorham

Being able to push through hard things is its own kind of brave.

You don’t have to have it all figured out. You don’t have to feel completely ready. Sometimes you just have to trust that if something keeps pulling at your heart, there’s probably a reason.

Do the thing. Take the chance. Start over. Try again. Go after the life you keep thinking about.

You are more capable than you give yourself credit for, and you are worthy of the things you want for your life. 🤍

This is my introduction to our current situation, we have a mountain property now! At first glance, this seems like a dream. But it has not come with ups and downs and difficult decisions.

I struggled to share this online because we know it is a privilege to the situation but it doesn’t make things any easier. We don’t have any answers right now on how to move forward with this property.

We are taking things one step at a time and I invite you to follow us as we navigate this crazy unexpected journey!
