Finally on the mend after a hectic few days.

Had been training to hit a sub-90 coming into this race. Everything was tracking well. Was feeling confident, fit, training and nutrition on point, good course.

But as perfect as everything can go, sometimes God has other plans for us, and it can change in an instant.

When I hit 14km and saw my family on the sideline, it was the reminder of why every day I try so hard to be a better man, father and friend.

Not every test is meant to give us the outcome we want, Sometimes the lesson is learnt in the chaos.

We rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character.
Romans 5: 3-4

No matter where I’ve lived or how much space I’ve had, my #1 rule has always been to have a space and equipment to train.

Dumbbells. Kettlebells. A pull-up bar. You really don’t need much to get started.

Create an environment that eliminates excuses.

I’ve accumulated a good amount of equipment over the last 12+ years, piece by piece, and am almost there!

Underestimated, underachieved 😂
The rumours are true, don’t do morning after leg day, absolute killer.

Good to run one back with my brother @levimclean. We used to fold clothes in a warehouse as youngings, now he folds blokes for a living.

When it’s time to enjoy life, live a little. When you’ve built the habits and framework over the years, it won’t all disappear over a few breakfast buffets and mojitos on break. Even at 70% we outdo the 99.
