After much reflection, I’ve decided to step down as the lead singer of High Step Society. It’s been a beautiful and wild journey, and I’m deeply grateful for the music, memories, and magic we created together.

I’ll be performing one last time NYE in portland before I spread my wings🪽

This summer has been a rollercoaster, but things have been a lot more chill after a three-year stint with that crazy party band I was in. I’m glad I’m still here—I made it through. People drinking and driving, not listening to my safety concerns… I don’t have to be a Wendy to a bunch of lost boys anymore. Thank goodness!

I’m focused on healing my heart, which is still very broken. I don’t really trust easily, so I’ll keep it that way for now. Looking forward to a life without alcohol and bullshit. It’s not fun anymore—it never really was about fun for me.

I’ve experienced very traumatic things in my life, over and over. But I’m hopeful that I won’t attract or allow those kinds of situations—or people—into my life anymore.

Let’s stop glamorizing addiction. People can make music without being intoxicated by substancesr or ego. Stay humble. Support recovery. by @roxydoll33
