This past weekend, I had the privilege of activating the main area of the Latanya Richardson Jackson & Samuel L. Jackson Performing Arts Center at Spelman College with a visual art exhibition on behalf of the Atlanta Black Theatre Festival.

Featuring 9 brilliant artists across abstract, oil, mixed media, collage & textile works.

I’m truly honored to have been able to bring this space to life and connect with such amazing creatives.

A little behind the scenes of the visual arts activation installation for the #FadeToBlackArtsFest we activated the plaza with sculptures, transformed each theater lobby, brought life to the main gallery, and even pulled back the curtains in Theater One to let the abstract works shine! ✨

I MUST extend my deepest appreciation to all the brilliant artists as well as the Texas Southern University Museum for participating in the visual arts component of the @fade2blackfest Your voices spoke volumes to the excellence of Black creativity, and trust, they were heard. The vision could not have come to life without you! 🖤🎨

Leading this installation while being surrounded by so many vibrant creatives was one of the sweetest experiences of my art career so far. Thank you, @sdoneal12 for the opportunity and trusting me to execute! #WeDidIt 🙌🏾

When we find joy in life’s simple moments, life becomes more enjoyable. Lay down the hustle. Lay down the constant pursuit. Appreciate the quiet moments, the small wins, and the everyday blessings we don’t always announce but often feel the proudest about.

I’m excited to share that “Life Is” is now on view at Lit Java Coffee & Books as part of the Beyond the Pages: Artist Showcase, on view through August 2.

Come Bee Well House hosted a private artist talk to celebrate the newest featured artist, LaGina R. Harris of My Eye Artistry, in the Healing Art Portal, curated by yours truly, Roxy Wuz Here Art.

There was laughter, tears, deep reflection, and connections deepened, all within this intentional space.

The Woman. The Artist. The Legend. @myeyeartistry

Last night we did a thing at CBWH! We hosted our 2nd Artist Talk for the Healing Art Portal.

Introducing the woman behind the brush Ms. LaGina R. Harris. Her installment in our gallery is called “The Journey Continues…”

We spoke on creativity through grief, spirit animals, masculinity and femininity, and all things LaRae Infinity.
