Recap #5
𝑂𝑝𝑒𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐴𝑐𝑡 / 𝑆𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑑 𝐽𝑜𝑢𝑟𝑛𝑒𝑦

Here is Alexis’s opening set, recorded at Ikii for Freeform #2 — Bloom.

@royal_exis

Through this deep listening session, Alexis guides the audience through a sonic landscape shaped by experimental and electroacoustic textures. Interpreting the theme Bloom in its earliest and most exploratory form, the set unfolds through organic sounds, field recordings and evolving atmospheres.

The space was designed for deep listening: cushions, sofas and soft seating invited guests to settle in, lie down, close their eyes or observe the suspended installations, visual projections and floral compositions surrounding the room.

Marseille bb

Still processing what happened last week at @nido.marseille for @omakase_recordings.

Pure bliss from start to finish.
So grateful every time I visit my loves in Marseille, and get to discover such a stunning, inspiring venue (👏 @___atipik___ 👏).
Incredible music all night from the whole team.

I was in charge of the closing ~ and it felt so good to lean back into a proper dancefloor groove again. I hadn’t done that in a while. I missed it.

Thank you for dancing the way you did, and for that electric atmosphere.

Already looking forward to coming back 💜🫂 taken in Marseille, France by @royal_exis

Freeform Lab is coming this October.

A daytime space at Ikii built around artistic exchange ～ a place to share knowledge and passions, discover new practices, work on your own projects and share ideas with others.

From hands-on workshops and artist-led sessions to open time for your own practice, the Lab is about bringing different ways of thinking and working into the same room.

We’ve been shaping this for a while, and we’re excited to finally get it started.

The first programme is coming soon. ✨

Wow, Waking Life. It was truly magical ✨
There was so much love, kindness, and respect.

The days flowed naturally between incredible music, heartfelt conversations, endless sunsets, deep moments with my people, and the sweetest encounters.

So many smiles on the dancefloors 🫂

I’m leaving with a profound sense of joy and fulfillment.
Thank you for creating such a beautiful space where time seems to stand still and beauty is everywhere.

Noir Obsidien • Colour Interpretation ⚫️

I’m sharing a few snippets from the mix I created for the Monochrome series by @omakase_recordings , an exercise in interpreting a color.

For me, it was obsidian black. I felt it as a deep, introspective, slow black 😮‍💨
I explored dub sounds, future jazz, and downtempo, creating a space for calm and reflection.

I love these exercises, and I’m really grateful to do this again. Thank you to Omakase for the invitation and this inspiring concept.

The full mix is online link in bio (🔗).
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did creating it 😘 by @royal_exis
