Here to stay. I sincerely think keeping this mural while finding another location for BLM mural is the best solution for all parties and interest groups. This mural and BLM mural could be co-existed in Calgary. Perhaps the benefit to replace this mural is that this photo may worth a lot of money one day 😂 taken in Calgary, Alberta by @royc1031

Going to watch #Oppenheimer in IMAX 70mm film format next week. The movie reminds me of visiting Nagasaki in December last year. The Peace Park in Nagasaki commemorates the victims of the atomic bombing in Nagasaki. There is a tall black pillar which is the monument of the hypocenter. A black marble vault in front of the pillar contains the name list of all the victims who died from the bomb. If you head downstairs you can see the remains of the city directly below the hypocenter. Nearby there is the Atomic Bomb Museum that shows the replica of how Nagasaki looked just after the explosion and a Memorial Hall to commemorate the victims. Hiroshima has its version of Peace Park, Museum and Memorial Hall.

Create my own paintings with camera. I think the exhibitor did an amazing job in digitalizing Van Gogh’s paintings and put them into an animated show. It has too many people all at once as the final show takes 30 minutes, so taking photos is kinda challenging to avoid photo bombers. The Starry Night, the Sunflowers and his self portraits…and you also got the opportunity to see Van Gogh’s less well known paintings in digital form. This exhibition has been touring around the United States and Canada and finally made its stop in Calgary. If you are into art and painting, it’s a good experience (minus a few kids running around in front of the projector screen 🥲) *P.S. the exhibition has been relocated to the BMO Centre in Victoria Park #nonsponsored 🤣 taken in Beyond Van Gogh Calgary by @royc1031
