The words I never thought possible to write or type, cause ten years ago I was at best the worst surfer in the ocean.

Today, I get to say, I am a champion, in Hawaii. The 2026 Men’s Waveski Champion, I have focused all my energy into finding how to become better in the ocean and today, at the most magical spot, all my surfing came together to get the 👑

Funny thing, this moment should’ve never happened you see back in 2020. I met Ryan when he broke his neck in a snowboarding accident and back in 2006, I broke my back in a skiing accident. It is absolutely wild to think about how life works and how this moment that Ryan captured technically should’ve never happened but it did and we’re surfing, surfing some of the most fun waves in the world just two guys with spinal cord injuries not allowing boundaries to set the standard of what we can accomplish but I’ll take whatever moments this life gives with your friends taken in Waco Surf by @roytuscany
