Presence as Form at Photo London x Nikon Gallery 14-17th of May

This year I was invited to create an installation and lead a workshop at the Nikon Gallery during Photo London.
Presence as Form explores portraiture as a structural and sculptural study - looking at how bodies, garments, and space merge, overlap, and reorganise into shared form.

The installation and workshop investigate tension, proximity, silhouette, and the architecture of presence through photography.

Thank you to @nikoneurope and @photolondonfair for the invitation. Exhibition running from the 13th of May, workshop from the 15th of May. See you there!

Been lucky to spend the past few days visiting the working marble quarries in Carrara. Seeing the scale of it all up close, the extraction, the cuts, the dust, the purity of the stone, left me completely in awe.

There’s something very special about witnessing a material in its raw state, before it becomes object.

Very grateful to the Petaki family, and to Giancarlo for driving me all the way up into the mountains and sharing this world with me so generously.

Looking forward to fabricating my first object by the end of the summer 🤍 🤍 🤍

Also happy to develop my film at @film.color and get to know another analogue lab. This time in Milan.
