We’ve been rambling on and on about our new house, thought you all might like a break from all that. This project with @kaplanthompsonarchitects is one of our all time favorites. Why? It’s just an incredibly cool little cube packed with so many unique details. Like this glass door to the outside, right in the primary shower. This bathroom just feels incredibly connected to the landscape. To top things off, the imaginative world of @dmaynes_studio is right outside. The perfect blend of natural and architectural. BIG UPDATE! In the last 2 weeks we installed all our windows (except for the damaged one 🫠), laid out interior walls, put up most of the interior walls, started the metal roof, did our rough-in walk throughs and celebrated my birthday. 😆 We also FINALLY put our deposit down on our incredible light fixtures, picked up the appliances needed by the millwork shop (got a funky coffee maker we had to put eyes on), purchased tile for the primary (last big tile decision!), made a plan with the insulation crew, started to get nervous about permitting because Windham is having a bit of a rough time right now and finally secured our dream slabs of marble for the bathrooms. PHEW! It’s been crazy. And we still owe you all a bunch of videos because we have LOTS to talk about. Lastly, we are now taking on spring / summer projects in 2027 so if you’re looking to build give us a call. We’d love to share our experiences, help you through pre-construction, the whole bit! by @rp_morrison_builders
Almost a wrap on this one 💫 by @rp_morrison_builders
Broke ground in July and roof ready by mid-October! Tomorrow the windows arrive, and next week the metal roof starts going on. Rough-in should start at the end of the month, so we’ll have HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and AV all happening at the same time. It’s amazing how far we’ve come on this project in such a short span of time. Next thing you know we’ll be moving in! by @rp_morrison_builders
All the beautiful views from our new home and on the last slide, our sauna! Progress is really moving! We start window install in a little over a week and the metal roof goes on the end of the month! by @rp_morrison_builders
We love materials that are real. The kind that age with life instead of resisting it. Unlacquered brass will darken and shift with time and use. Soapstone deepens and moves the same way. Nothing here is trying to look new forever, and that’s the point. The diamond inlays on this vanity are cut and set by hand, a tactile nod to the kind of craft we care about protecting. None of this happens by accident. Getting the stone, the brass, and the millwork to land together this cleanly takes real coordination between trades, and it’s one of our favorite parts of the job. A lot of time and energy went into getting all of this just right. Extremely proud of the team we put together to make this happen. Architecture: @frankshirleyarchitects Photography: @jeffrobertsimaging by @rp_morrison_builders

An incredible collaboration with @mainestairco and @oakandlaurelworkshop at our Casco project. Hands down impeccable work. Could not have executed this stair without these two companies. ❤️ Architecture by @frankshirleyarchitects Photographed by @jeffrobertsimaging by @rp_morrison_builders
Today was a BIG DAY! Roof trusses are on! It’s starting to look like a house. ❤️ by @rp_morrison_builders
The Morrison residence is coming together ❤️ we’ve been slacking on bringing you along for the process (sorry about that!) it’s been a little tricky closing out builds, starting new ones and then also juggling sharing this journey. But we have so much to update you on! So stay tuned! New videos coming later in the week. Meanwhile scroll right to see the progress and palette for the interiors. by @rp_morrison_builders
Working with talented people is a gift. Thanks @oakandlaurelworkshop for bringing this piece to life. Architecture by: @frankshirleyarchitects by @rp_morrison_builders
