intaglio prints! line etch, dry point, scraping and burnishing, and aquatint! this was a really cool process from start to finish. etching my design into the copper plate with acid, working with carcinogens (aquatint), and working with color in new and fun ways! three sets of one print in each state: just black and white line etched, aquatint added, and color added! “Accessories” 2025 #printmaking #intaglio #etching #drypoint #aquatint by @rpadios.art
the process of making 3(ish) step reduction woodcut prints in two color palettes! I wanted to make the stems green on the orange flowers, so i inked with green at the same time as the dark orange! “Lilies” and “Lilies 2” 2025 #printmaking #lilies #woodcut by @rpadios.art
This is the first project I made in my Beginning Printmaking class, woodcut prints! by @rpadios.art
This was for my GDIII class, we made comics about the medical residents at Lincoln Family Medicine! The final product is a group effort by Emma Marrick (set design and production), Owen Rieb (storyboard and script), and myself (character development and design). That’s the short of it, but we did all of it ourselves! We integrated physical media with digital formatting to create the comic book. I hand drew, colored, cut, and glued each character, complete with facial expressions and alternate poses. Emma created the backgrounds and textures by hand. We scanned them in and helped Owen in creating the final format! I’m really proud of how it turned out, and very grateful for such a great team! @emptr.a @owenrieb Check out my portfolio link to see the full thing! by @rpadios.art
hey everyone ! Life has been doing its thing, but I’ve been really brave about it. Despite it all, I’ve still been making art!! So I’m gonna upload some of the stuff I’ve been up to! Consider yourself: about to be updated! by @rpadios.art
This is a mastercopy I did for my beginning painting final last semester. Georgia O’Keeffe is one of my favorite artists, and I had so much fun learning from this gorgeous piece. It’s entirely to scale, I made the 48x30 inch canvas myself! I really enjoyed painting on such a large scale. It was incredibly freeing and fun, especially because of the abstract nature of the piece. Another post from Rosie’s backlog of work! This is an infographic poster I made in my Graphic Design II class about the impacts of Doomscrolling on individuals with ADHD. (the impacts are that you will turn into a zombie) #infographic #graphicdesign #poster #zombie by @rpadios.art
Bit of a late post, but here is my redesign of a McDonald’s Happy Meal!! A Berry Happy Meal 🍓 Everything you see was designed, constructed, and photographed by yours truly! Long caption alert!! :) I’ve been MIA on here recently, finishing up first semester of sophomore year! It took me some time to feel ready enough to share this painting on here. In September, for my third assignment in my beginning painting class we had to paint a 10inx10in portrait on wood panel. I knew I wanted to paint my Grandpa Bob, who passed away last year in September. It still feels unreal, and aching. I miss him every day. I took this assignment as an opportunity to process and feel my grief. I simultaneously felt closer to him, and more at peace with his absence throughout the process of painting this piece. I looked at several photos my family had sent me; I needed one with good lighting and a clear view. I decided not to include the reference photo here, because as I painted I started to realize it wasn’t a copy. I wasn’t going to replicate the photo, and I didn’t want to. I wanted to portray him as true to how I saw him. Over the several weeks I worked on this painting, I smiled, I cried, I called family members. It’s been so healing to show my family this piece and see how each of them are moved by it. I’m so grateful and honored that I was able to create something for all of us who loved him. As my Uncle Jerry said, as I showed him my painting of his brother, “close enough” :) I love you so, Grandpa <3 by @rpadios.art
Here is my color still life! This was so much fun to make, I really enjoyed the sparkly reflections on the glass bottles and creating the textures of the fruits. I definitely have had a lot of growth during this piece. Strangely enough, this was easier than the black and white still life for me! I like to use a lot of color in my work, so I think this piece came more naturally to me. I’m having tons of fun! 15”x17” oil on canvas by @rpadios.art
Here’s my finished black and white still life! I got an A :) Next up is another still life in full color! by @rpadios.art
Still life prep! Swipe to see my preliminary sketches and the canvas sketch! -> This will be baby’s first oil painting! I’m super excited, I’ve been wanting to try oils for a while. This piece is also going to be entirely in black and white! I’m really into the small white sculpture in front of the plant and how that’s gonna look when I get into everything. I also think the skull is gonna look super sick. We’ll have to see! by @rpadios.art
