✂️ RC body cutting doesn’t have to be a struggle.
We went back and forth so you don’t have to 😅
Here’s what works 👇
🔧 Curved scissors — the classic go-to
🔧 Straight edge / Exacto knife — score it, bend it, snap it clean
🔧 Dremel with sanding drum or grinding wheel — clean up those rough edges
Pro tip: some spots are just easier with one tool over the other — it’s all about access! 💡

🔥 Ditch the adapter. Solder it properly.

Adapters get the job done… until they don’t. Voltage drop, loose connections, melted plugs mid-run, sound familiar? 😅

Here’s how to solder a Deans connector to your LiPo the RIGHT way 👇

⚡ Cut one wire at a time — never both! (unless you like fireworks 💥)
⚡ Tin the wire first — flow solder onto it before touching the connector
⚡ Tin the Deans pads too — solder on BOTH ends before joining
⚡ Clamp it steady — helpers hands are your best friend here 🤝
⚡ Touch, flow, done — clean bond in seconds 🔥
⚡ Heat shrink it up and you’re ready to rip 🚀
Less resistance = more power to your motor = faster runs. Simple math 😤

Part 2: servo showdown 🔧⚡
Nick pulls the Savox 1270 TG out of the H10 Optic to make room for the SRT. At 7.4V it’s 40 kg for the Savox vs 48 kg for the SRT. The SRT sits a little taller, but mounted height should come out about the same 👀

Bringing some work home tonight 🔧🔥
Nick is testing out the SRT T6S servo for crawlers. At 8.4V it puts out around 800 oz-in of torque with a speed of 0.085 sec/60°. Torquey AND fast ⚡

Red Rock Canyon crawler meet 🏜️🔥
Unreal scenery, great people, and some of the best sandstone Nick has ever crawled, with @workhardrc and @thehobbygym 🙌
Huge thanks to Rob from @bashmaps for letting Nick wheel his new bobbed-tail Jeep Gladiator SCX10.3, and to Sam from @ironquadfpv for handing over his FPV-equipped TRX-4m. Crawling sandstone from the driver’s seat view was something else 🎥
