When we first got our hands on the Tembo at @musictectonics, we knew @musical.beings had built something amazing. The Rock Paper Scissors team is proud to work with the press and influencers to make sure the rest of the world knows it too!

Raising $1M on Kickstarter in 24 hours isn't easy. It's a competitive space. The magic happens for musical instruments when great design and a compelling story resonate with artists, journalists, and backers. It starts with big ideas, but it takes Kickstarter expertise, authentic community building, and storytelling that connects with the voices people trust.

We got Musical Beings' story to journalists at @verge , @engadget , @designboom , @wallpapermag *, @trend_hunter , @new.atlas, and more, and worked to collaborate with incredible artists like @victorwooten , @hunnagbeats, @music.journeyy, @okgo, @adioasis, @carolclevelandsings, @zeale, @oddkidout, and I'm probably missing a few. 😂

Congratulations to the whole Musical Beings team on this early milestone, and many more to come! by @rps.pr

Exhibitor spotlight: meet @trash_talk_audio , the makers of lo-fi telephone microphones built ofr stage, studio, and everything in between.

Originally a room mic experiment on drums to capture mid-range grit, Trash Talk Audio quickly discovered the vocal potential hiding in their unique sound and ran with it.

This year at NAMM, we had the pleasure of featuring Trash Talk alongside several other companies at the @rps.pr Innovation Hub.

Exhibitor spotlight: meet Dog Paw (@dogpawmusic), the world's first weighted grid instrument. It's got a built-in sound engine, fully mappable keys, and patent-pending tactile keys that respond to pressure so you can bend notes, ease into chords, and feel the music like you would on a string instrument

Announcing… AlgoRhythms 2026 | March 26-28
A summit that explores human-centered creativity in Music & AI

What does it mean to be an artist in the age of AI? How are models of AI transforming the world of music? Will AI enrich or impoverish our musical imaginations?

After a groundbreaking two years, AlgoRhythms is back! The IU Jacobs School of Music, in partnership with the Maurer School of Law, IU Innovates, and Music Tectonics, and the AI+Digital Futures Team, is pleased to invite you to AlgoRhythms 2026 on the IU Bloomington campus and online (Zoom & YouTube).

The FREE summit will convene artists, scholars, technologists, educators, and industry leaders for panel discussions, presentations, and performances that address the evolving relationship between AI and music. The summit provides an opportunity to wrestle with questions about authorship, ownership, environmental impact, cultural disruption, business transformation, and the meaning of creativity itself.

Visit the Summit Website and Sign Up to Attend (see comment)

Participants this year include Adam Neely, Matt Henninger (Moises), Marcus Lawrence (Zinstrel), Steve Stewart (SongHub), Dmitri Vietze (Music Tectonics), Dan Amin (Lucasfilm), Matthew Blackmar (IU), Mike Sammis (IU), Raina Murnak (Miami), Tom Collins (Miami), Andy West (IU), Jason Palamara (IU Indianapolis), Ethan Castro (EDGE Sound), and many others.

In addition to the panel discussions, we’re partnering with IU Innovates on a tech fair on Friday, March 27 from 9am-5pm, sponsored by Sweetwater Sounds. More information about this event will be shared on the website.
We hope you will join us!

Many thanks to our partners and supporters: Maurer School of Law, IU Innovates, Rock Paper Scissors, Music Tectonics, Zinstrel, AI+Digital Futures Group, Amplify Bloomington, Meitus Strohm, Sweetwater Sound, IU Chancellor’s Office, Luddy School, The Media School, Kelley School of Business Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, and the Luddy Artificial Intelligence Center.
