The first picture is my baby girl on the 4th of October, the next picture is of my girl on the 9th of October. In 5 days our entire world has been turned upside down. We had been trying to get her into a doctor for a month or so as she had a sickness that just wouldn’t go away but we just couldn’t find an appointment for her. We finally got her into a clinic and they ordered an emergency X-Ray and blood work. The X-Ray showed a bad case a pneumonia so the doctor ordered some medication to fight it. Fast forward to the next morning while Jenn was taking her to get blood work, the same doctor, in what could only be described as God, called and told Jenn that he had been up all night thinking of Ainslee and that he just knew something just wasn’t right with what he had seen the day before and to head to the hospital immediately and he’d set it up for her to get right into seeing doctors there. Fast forward a few hours and Ainslee is in Ambulance on the way to Halifax for testing that would confirm the doctors fears. Our baby has been diagnosed with B-Cell Leukaemia and we are in the first days of what will be a years long plan for her to recovery. We would just list to thank everyone who has reached out with words of support and encouragement or helped out financially for what will be a difficult road for us to navigate. Our whole family is forever grateful for every last one of you. And thank you to the likes of @joshbaldwin @philwickham and @brandonlake for providing soundtracks to get through these nights where everyone is sleeping and I just want to break down but am reminded of Gods grace and mercy through their songs and the smile I see on my girls face in the midst of the worst. Daughter made sure I’m all ready for the @philwickham concert on Saturday. My wife and I finally getting a weekend alone, decided to spend it with Phil for my birthday and to celebrate our past 10 years together! by @rquick17

What I wouldn’t give to be able to look at the world like a child again. Just seeing Shep all wide eyed and bushy tailed over each new thing. He doesn’t know that there’s so much pain and hurting out there. As adults we need to open our minds and realize, we’re not children anymore, life is tough for everyone, say hello, ask how someone is doing, show someone you care, you never know what someone is thinking at any given time. You could be the difference in that persons life, you could be that one person that shows them that maybe life isn’t all that bad. And for 5 minutes today, try to sit back and stare out a metaphoric window and try to see things like baby Shepherd, in awe and amazement of what God has created. by @rquick17
