Un Range Rover Classic de 1988, acheté près de 1000€. Il y a 10 ans. On l’a entièrement retapé avec mon père avant de que je l’aménage moi-même pour faire le tour du continent africain. 🚙🌍

🚙 BERNARD
Ça fait déjà 6 mois et 20 000 km que je suis sur les routes, de la Tunisie au Sénégal. Je vous présente tout ce que j’ai créé sur la voiture, avec les anecdotes, les conseils, mes avis et les références de mes produits.

* Range Rover classic 1988
* Couleur : LRC998 – Chamonix White
* Moteur : moteur 300 TDI de Discovery I de 1994
* Boîte de vitesses : R380 (5 rapports)
* Boîte de transfert : LT230 (longues/courtes + blocage de différentiel central)

📻 COCKPIT
La boîte centrale reprend exactement la géométrie de celle d’origine, mais en bois. Les poignées des leviers de vitesse sont en chêne massif.

Sur le meuble central, j’ai installé un moniteur de batterie, le contrôleur de la sono et 6 interrupteurs libres. Pour le moment, ils commandent les phares de galerie, le transformateur et la sono. Au-dessus, un rangement sécurisé pour mes appareils photo, accessible directement depuis le siège conducteur, avec des chargeurs intégrés.

🏕️ TOIT
Le toit du Range Rover Classic participe à la rigidité de l’habitacle. Avec ses grandes surfaces vitrées et ses montants relativement fins, une surcharge peut rapidement provoquer des fissures.

⚖️ On recommande généralement de rester sous les 120 kg de chargement. C’est à peu près ce que j’ai sur ma galerie.

Taking the Range Rover Classic, back to the roots.

This is where Landmark started. My first car, a 1973 Range Rover Classic, and the one I’ll never let go.

It began its life in Switzerland, then ended up with a farmer in the south of France, working the land like a horse. That was almost 20 years ago.

Since then it’s been a rolling project. 4HP24 automatic paired with a 4.6 V8, body and suspension lift, roof rack loaded with everything we own.

Now it’s finally time to take it across the Channel, in style. The ultimate road trip through old English villages, long roads with high hedges, and yes, the wheel really is on the wrong side. For them, anyway.

Back to the roots, baby.
