An unexpected meeting on stage in Liepāja somehow felt like reuniting with childhood friends. The kind of friends you can wander into the woods with, searching for hidden treasures.

Thank you, @sarahkneufeld + @rrparry + @foonbeck for welcoming me so warmly onto your gentle spaceship. 🌠

Love you, your sweet souls, and the beautiful way you listen.

Susan Moss was a warm and wonderful human, absolute definition of a local legend. So sad that she’s gone and so happy I got to share some time with her and be photographed by her many times - she was exactly the kind of person who you wanted to be photographed by, someone who made photo sessions fun and easy. I’ll miss her as will so many local Montreal folks, as well as of course the countless visiting artists she captured so well. RIP wonderful human by @rrparry

Glen Hansard was such a wonderful fountain of open hearted singing, and could easily lead a roomful of people in song in the best, most communal way. I am grateful to have shared the stage with him a couple of times, and I’m feeling his departure with heaviness - we need all the singers we can get in this sweet old broken world. Sending light and love to his family during this sudden and terrible time of loss.

After sharing First Sounds with a growing crowd at this year’s Montreal International Jazz Festival, Sarah Neufeld/Richard Reed Parry/Rebecca Foon are heading to London, Liepāja and Berlin this fall. Their experimental neoclassical sound is textural and emotionally layered, unfolding through melody and compelling live improvisation. by @rrparry

Out today, at long last: Dallas Good and Richard Reed Parry Were “the Watchtowers”. It’s been a long time and a labour of love creating this for you to hear, and a lot happened along the way. Pick up a copy of the vinyl and support yr local record store. Be good to each other. Let your friends know you love them, let them know now. Opportunities pass. Life goes by too quickly. Thank you to everyone who helped bring this album to life.
