Iโ€™M REALLY BACK. ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿฅˆ

And honestlyโ€ฆ what a relief.
๐Ÿฅˆ 2nd place in my first-ever 50K
๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ Qualified for OCC at the UTMB World Series Finals next year ๐Ÿฅณ

But the result is not even the part Iโ€™m most proud of.
Iโ€™m most proud of finding my way back in this 2nd part of the season.

Back to running.
Back to the trails.
Back to myself.

I had a really rough patch โ€” and getting out of it wasnโ€™t a straight climb to the top.

There were so many trails that looked like they were finally leading me towards the light, only to turn into dead ends. So many times I thought: surely this is it now.

And it was exhausting.

I would drag out my training sessions for as long as possible, just to finally get out the door and onto the trails. And then still see it as something to just get over with, from start to finish.

The mountains could be breathtaking, the trails could be beautiful โ€” but I barely noticed.

There was not much capacity left for the things I usually love about running: Freedom. Peace. Nature. Joy!

So getting to a point where trail running feels like pure happiness and a privilege again?

That means more to me than any results ever could. ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ

And maybe the biggest change is that Iโ€™ve learned I can handle things that would have completely knocked me off track in the past.

Iโ€™m not going to pretend I was completely relaxed in the weeks leading up to this race. I wasnโ€™t.

But somewhere along the way, I started to find glimpses of believe in myself.

And when that race gun went off, I knew:

I can be kind to myself.
I can stay positive when things get hard.
I can deal with (almost) whatever comes up.

And letโ€™s be honest โ€” over 50K, something always comes up. ๐Ÿ˜…

For now, I just feel incredibly grateful.

To everyone who stayed by my side.
To everyone who listened.
To everyone who helped me find the right path again.
To everyone who pointed me towards the light when I couldnโ€™t see it myself.

Thank you. ๐Ÿซฐ๐Ÿผ

This one was for the comeback part of the season!

And for remembering how good it feels to be out there.

Letโ€™s gooo @wildstrubelbyutmb TMRW 7:50 ๐Ÿš€

55K โ€ข 3,300m+
Adding some context, thatโ€˜s: Adelboden - Lenk - Wildstrubelhut - Rawylpass - Crans-Montana

Let me be honest: Iโ€™m super nervous going into this one. ๐Ÿซฃ A distance Iโ€™ve never conquered before.

But once that gun goes off, Iโ€™ll stick to my principles: enjoy the opportunity, embrace the privilege of racing on this beautiful course, and make it to the finish line with a smile.

Because all I can control is myself, my mindset, and my willingness to leave it all out there. ๐Ÿ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿบ

Time to find out what the Wild 55K has in store.

4th ๐Ÿซ ETC โ€” one tough nut ๐Ÿคฏ

My first time spending the week in the Chamonix Valley for @utmbmontblanc โ€” and what a week it was. Wild performances everywhere, including one of the most iconic OCC womenโ€™s finishes Iโ€™ve ever seen:
๐Ÿฅ‡ @lgeeeeezy
๐Ÿฅˆ @naomi_lang__ โ€” just 3 sec back
๐Ÿฅ‰ @saraalonso5 โ€” less than 1 min behind after 6h of racing ๐Ÿคฏ

As for my own raceโ€ฆ it was a tough one.
My body didnโ€™t feel great from the start. The first climb was a real hustle for position with the men, and one guy even blocked the trail for several minutes and intentionally blocked me once from passing. Luckily, he was the exception โ€” most runners were super fair, and especially on the downhills, people got out of the way when I came flying in ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ’จ

Back to order, first the 1k climb.
I was suffering. My feet didnโ€™t feel connected to the uneven ground, and I started thinking I must be way back in the womenโ€™s race. For a moment, I even thought about quitting.
With @wildstrubelbyutmb 55 coming up in just 2 weeks, the last thing I wanted was to risk a stupid accident and mess up my main goal.

So I changed my mindset:
If the uphill legs werenโ€™t there, this could still be a great training effort. And there was no need to force the downhills before I felt comfortable.
I reached the top completely cooked ๐Ÿซ
But then something changed.
Once the long downhill started, I recovered, found my rhythm and switched into chasing mode. Suddenly, the legs felt much better. I started picking off runners one by one and got surprisingly close to the podium.

Then came the final two little climbsโ€ฆ and I was DONE. ๐Ÿ˜‚
At that point, the only goal was to somehow hang on for the final kilometres.

4th place. ๐Ÿซ

Considering how the race started, Iโ€™m genuinely really happy with that performance. Most importantly: I got the training I needed, stayed smart when things didnโ€™t feel right, and came away healthy.

Nowโ€ฆ all eyes on my longest race ever in 2 weeks. ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ”ฅ

Huge congrats to everyone who raced across the board! And especially my @brookstrailrunners crew @vivien_bonzi and @cpcop__ who absolutely crushed ETC alongside me. ๐Ÿ’™

+ 2200Hm uuuup (yeah I know the downhill was missing in this race ๐Ÿซข)

Last minute racing after some loaded weeks are always a great opportunity. Not my specialty to race mostly uphill, but the legs are not as destroyed afterwards, so perfect training setting ๐Ÿค—

Thanks @infernotriathlon for all the work you put in to give us the chance for some spectacular racing ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

111 km. 6,200 m+. Countless memories. ๐Ÿ’™

A few unforgettable days exploring the Mont-Blanc trails with the Brooks Trail Runners team.

Beyond the kilometers and vertical gain, it was about sharing the mountains, pushing each other, and getting a first taste of different sections of the UTMB World Series Finals course before race week.

Huge thanks to everyone who made this camp so special:

Grateful for the people, the mountains, and every shared kilometer.

Which trail in the Mont-Blanc area would you run first? โ›ฐ๏ธ๐Ÿ‘‡
