Last night, for the first time in 3 1/2 years, I met with more than one person at a time (due to my family’s continuing social isolation). And it was so truly overwhelming! The motley group in the photo is four “generations” of Live 105 workmates (and affiliated friends) who had a raucous reunion at the Atwater Tavern along the San Francisco waterfront. It took me over 2 hours to get there from Mill Valley (!) due to Blue Angels traffic so I was very late. Once there I was almost immediately put on a mic and asked to speak. Yikes. I totally choked up in the moment and could barely speak or stand as emotions ran through me and blocked my brain from being able to function well. You know that public speaking sensation, I’m sure. The bottom line of what I said (or tried to or meant to in a heartfelt way) was something Ed Krampf, Steve Masters and I created 37 years ago, along with so many others of you, still means so much to so many of us. It truly was the most eventful, important and creatively satisfying job that any of us had and/or will ever have. Thank you to Mary Nite, Shannon Hjort Paikos and Spud for arranging and hosting this gathering. From the bottom of my heart, my everloving appreciation to each of you who put so much of yourselves into this lovely little radio endeavor that we called Live 105. It lives on! ❤️❤️❤️ by @rsands9
