This is me right now… in the middle of the crushing and the calling at the same exact time.

I feel the weight of the sword in my hand, the crown on my head, and the oil being poured whether I feel strong or not. And honestly? It’s a lot!!! But Esther didn’t step into her assignment because she felt ready. She stepped in because she was chosen for that moment.

That’s where I am.
That’s where so many of us are right now.

God is teaching me some things:
Your tears don’t cancel your calling.
Your shaking doesn’t remove your crown.
Your crushing doesn’t stop the oil.

Sometimes obedience looks like praying through the tears.
Sometimes boldness looks like standing still when you’d rather do anything else.
Sometimes “for such a time as this” looks like showing up when everything in you wants to stay at home in bed.

I’m learning this.
And I know I’m not the only one.

If you’re feeling the pressure, the stretching, the shaking…
just remember: Esther felt it too.
But she still stepped out.
And God met her in the moment, not after it.

This crushing is not to break you, it’s to shape you.
This oil is not cheap, and neither is your assignment. by @rslayton24
