Two middleweight contenders battled in tonight's main event from the @2300arena 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, PA.

Former unified world champion @jeison_banana_rosario Jeison "Banana" Rosario took on @kyshutitdown Kyrone "Shut It Down" Davis in a ten-round bout.

This contest was the top of the card on @rspboxing Rising Star Promotions' "South Philly Showdown Round 2" event.

By the end of the second round, Davis had established that he had the faster hand speed and better punch selection.

Davis used those attributes to control the bout. Here, in the third, Davis connects with a left hook on Rosario.

In the sixth, Rosario scored a knockdown. Davis was able to beat the count and continue, including landing some power shots of his own, giving the crowd thrilling action.

Davis re-established himself in the seventh. Even with a cut, Rosario was undeterred, and continued to press forward.

The bout went to the scorecards. The official scores were 97-93, 96-93 and 96-93, all for Davis, the winner by unanimous decision.

The Fight Photos scored the bout 96-93 Davis.

Davis gets his second straight win, his record 21-4-1 (6). Rosario's record is 24-6-2 (18).
