@rspeedmotorsport features Spec Racer Sports and the Spec Racer Ford Gen 3! We booked a drive and coaching session at MSR Houston and it was a blast! #srf3 #specracerford #scca #sccaroadracing by @rspeedmotorsport

$This Spec Miata seemed rear-limited; I might try to lower the rear or raise the front, depending on ride heights. It also might be possible I'm not on the throttle soon enough or pushing the fronts hard enough yet. Even with the used tires, it seems like it's about a second or so off the pace we would want. . Switched class from STU to SMX based on the invitation from the drivers in SMX. It has been fully disclosed that my car does not meet SMX as this car was built towards NASA ST5. But the other cars on track will be much closer in speed as my car is nowhere near STU. Come join the SCCA Majors races MSR Houston tomorrow and Sunday. Lots of cool cars and races to see. by @rspeedmotorsport

Updates for RSpeed ! Watch for the scoop. Racing, Element Fire Extinguishers, TV, Tires, and more. by @rspeedmotorsport

This GT3RS on Pirelli Corsa street tires consistently ran 1:37s in stride at MSRH Clockwise in 85F conditions. (3) back-to-back 37s with a 1:37.1 in the middle. What is truly impressive is the consistency and composure of the car in this heat while performing at such a high level. The more you push the pace, the happier the car is, and that is a very special thing.

While the S/T is rare, even more rare is the opportunity to full-send it around a racetrack. Even better is sharing this experience with great people all enjoying different cars, jumping in both seats, and ending each session with big smiles. Thank you! This great-driving owner has now racked up over 12,000 miles on this S/T! This is the representation of truly enjoying the ownership of one of Porsche's greatest production vehicles. Well done!

Friday at MSR Houston with Steve Kelly! RSpeed

Steve is an advanced driver looking to build back some confidence after significant vehicle changes. First session was habit discovery and building a plan for the day.

We decided to work on slowing down some steering inputs in a couple places, throttle adjustments in T2, throttle timing and progression in Diamonds Edge, and line and brake release for T16/17 Sugar and Spice.

Each of these techniques will translate to other tracks as we talked through the "why" behind these modifications.

Mixed in was getting the vision in the right place at the right time, it's always vision! We had a great time and found time in every session. Thank you for a great day!

Kills bugs fast. by @rspeedmotorsport

The first laps here of the 812 are my first track laps of a V12! If only it was straight piped, can you imagine the noises! Maybe next time. These were only fun laps, no data, thanks to my friend Adam. I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity and part of expressing that is a healthy dose of respect on the track for the equipment and tires. That said, I didn't go slow. It only has 4S street tires so there is only so much you can do. Even with these tires, 147mph on back straight and I think 144 on the front straight is wild. I didn't look at the speed on pit straight.

My buddy got away with a wild spin into the bus-stop going CW at MSRH this Sunday morning in the first session. I had just done a warm-up out lap and was able to pull in Phillippe in his '83 911 SC on Contis while I had on Vitour P1-01R tires. It's an interesting and fun yoyo between the two with only 157HP 2L vs the SC making ??? HP, stock US SC makes 180hp. Regardless of HP, we both enjoyed pushing each other on a cooler and slightly damp track this morning. When the BMW enters the mix after lap traffic, it becomes Porsche vs BMW vs Mazda. When Phillippe (SC) pushes too wide at T10, it closes the radius at T9, making it harder to get through T8. With the speed he's carrying and the extra turning required from a slightly compromised entry, the rear swings and keeps on swinging! He makes the right decisions to stay on the pavement, but Sam in the Beemer has to modify his efforts quickly and gets loose as well. I pull back as I see it all unfold in front of me, and while Sam bails on the outside to the grass, I drive off for the win, I mean, for the end of the session. ;) #hpde #porsche #bmw #mazda #miata #racecar by @rspeedmotorsport
