A special day with MSR’s Chief Instructor Eric Sutton @t.rs.project behind the wheel of our Formula 4! 🏁

Eric has taken the role of chief instructor at @msrhouston , and this week, he took the opportunity to experience our F4 car for the first time. It was also his first time driving a current-generation, actively competing open-wheel chassis, and he made the most of it with nearly two hours of solid track time and consistent laps.

Beyond the driving, it was a great opportunity to reconnect, share knowledge, and learn from each other. Cará Origin Motorsports is a team that emphasizes how much driver development goes even beyond the cockpit. Whether you’re just getting started or have years of experience, there’s always something new to learn. And working alongside Eric is our driver and founder @danielcarabr also collaborating as an official @sccaofficial Instructor.

We’re proud to support the community of drivers and instructors at MSR Houston and help build a stronger pathway into motorsports through programs like SCCA, F4, and Karting. Working alongside like-minded instructors is what makes this community special, and we’re excited to keep growing it together.

Thank you, Eric, for the opportunity to share the track with you. It was a blast having you in our car! by @t.rs.project

$T2 still has some slickness, so I had to slow the entry down a lot so I didn't fly off the track like I almost did on the previous 2 laps. I also missed the tire pressure window on these 225 Hoosier R7's by a big margin, about 3-4psi too low. With these two changes, I know I'll be in the 43s, especially with a softer rear bar, the rear was loose. . 3rd in SS at NATS! An incredible 2026 Solo Nationals in Super Street in the GT4 RS with Brendan Cronin. I'm super proud of Brendan in his first Nationals. He drove great on day one and day two and secured the National Championship. I was able to bring in 3rd place which I'm very grateful for and excited about. Unfortunately, in the last run, with a big mistake, I left at least second place on the table. That's autocross, and that's Nationals, it's freaking hard! #solonats #solonationals #autocross #porsche #gt4rs #nationals by @t.rs.project

Sitting in 5th in Super Street and my codriver, Brendan Cronin is in 1st for Day 1! #solonats #autocross #solonationals #superstreet @RSpeed77 by @t.rs.project

What's a road trip without some roadblocks? On the way, noticed serious vibrations at 65-70. Pulled over before 290 to find 2 right side trailer tires internally separating. Called the Discount 4mi back the other direction and they had plenty of tires. Getting all 4 and the spare replaced so we are ready for Solo Nats in September. Discount Tire FTW RSpeed heading to MotorSport Ranch to drive with Jon Fountain Drive At The Limit ! Knox just chillin. by @t.rs.project
