✨This week’s novel progress✨

I’m slowly chipping away at my rewrite from third person POV to first person POV. I can’t wait to finish (probably 6-7 more weeks at my current pace) and take the next steps that gets me closer to eventually sharing this story with all of you!📚

Featuring my writing setup and one of my writing playlists I listen to while I write.🎵✍🏼

Here are the books I read in September! ✨📚🍂

There were a lot of 5 star reads this month, and I loved each book. Some for different reasons than others.✨

What was your favorite book you read this month?

I finished the first draft of my first WIP about four weeks ago. Then I decided I wanted to try rewriting it, changing it from third-person POV to first-person POV. I quickly found that I enjoyed writing my story even more this way!✨

I’m now about 38% through my rewrite. I haven’t done a weekly progress post before, so I thought I’d give it a try! 😊✍🏼📚

Has anyone else finished their WIP to then decide to rewrite it, changing the POV the story is told in?

(And all pictures above are my own😊)

Now on to the second book in A Song of Ice and Fire series, A Clash of Kings!

I’ve seen the show many times, but I’m really enjoying reading the books for the first time. There are a few differences from the show I’ve noticed so far, and I’ve heard it veers off more the further in the books you go. I’m excited to see what happens. I know the series is still unfinished… but I’m hoping that he finally finishes that sixth book. But we’ll see lol.

After finishing Karin Slaughter’s We Are All Guilty Here, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the second book in the series, The Secrets We Hide. I could not put it down. I love the characters Emmy and Jude so much! I was happy to read that there will be a third book, because I’m not ready to say goodbye to these characters yet. This was my first time reading a thriller series. I previously thought that thrillers should be stand-alones, because you usually find out the mystery in the end. But, I was wrong. I’m definitely going to be checking out her other series! 📚🙌

After finishing a long fantasy book I like to read a good thriller before starting my next one. Her Last Breath by Taylor Adams did not disappoint!

I read it while camping on the beach and finished it in 24 hours…
I was on the edge of my seat (or rather, my camping chair) the entire time. I’m definitely going to be checking out some of this author’s other books. If you haven’t read this one yet and enjoy a good suspenseful thriller, I recommend it!

I’m finally diving into The Knight and the Moth!⚔️🦋
This one has been on my TBR for a while but I wanted to wait for the second one to come out to start it. I loved Rachel Gillig’s One Dark Window series, so I’m excited to read it! Have you read this one yet?

I’ve decided to start listening to…
A Court of Silver Flames🩶🔥
in preparation of…
A Court of Splintered Harmony🩷🧡💛
coming out next month.
I’ve read the book twice, but I want to make sure the story is fresh in my mind when I dive into the next installment of the ACOTAR series next month.
I can’t wait to see what happens when the new book comes out! I’ll definitely be disappearing from the world for a few days while I devour it 🙈
Who else is doing a re-read in preparation of the new book?

I thought I’d share this fun edition of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. 🐇🕰️🌹☕️🎩🃏

I picked up this copy at a little bookstore in Santorini, Greece, a few years ago. Atlantis Books, I recommend visiting if you’re ever in Santorini!

I loved this story when I was younger, and still do today. When I was little, my mom would ask me who my favorite Disney princess was, and I would reply “Alice!”
My mom later shared that she loved that my favorite character wasn’t actually a princess.
Are there any stories from your childhood that stayed with you? 😊

I’ve decided to dive into A Game of Thrones! I’ve watched the series more times than I can count, but I’ve yet to read the books. Even though I know what happens, I’m already drawn in deep! I love these characters so much, they feel like old friends at this point with how many times I’ve seen the show… I love getting the different POV of so many strong and unique characters. It’s been hard to put down so far. 🐺🏰⚔️

Forgive the multiple images with my kindle cropped in front… I used a few photos from my game of thrones tour I took years ago, and I couldn’t decide which one to go with 😂

Have you read or watched the series?
